"What are you talking about?"

Lae pressed on: "Dude, what are you saying? Astraea let's leave."

When they turned around, they left.

But then Astraea looked at Laetitia.

"Go." Laetitia said, nodding her head at Astraea.

Astraea let her body absentmindedly took her to Jayden.

When Jayden saw her, he walked up to her.

"What did he say?" Jayden asked.

"Can you come with me?" She interlocked her fingers with his, when he muttered a "yes" and took him back in the room. She didn't want to do it with everyone around them.

She looked at him and played absentmindedly with her ring.

Jayden put his finger down her chin and raised her head.

"What did he say?" Jayden pressed on more.
He felt such anger surge through him, knowing that Astraea laid sensitive on him.

She sniffed, before continuing.
"You wouldn't lie to me, right?" She said, looking desperately into his eyes.

"On my life, Astraea." Jayden said, about to lose his mind. He placed his hand on his heart.

"He had said some messed up things, but I don't think they're true." She said shaking her head.

"What?" Jayden asked, pressing her to tell more. His focus was all on her in this moment.

"I love you so much, but if this--" She closed her eyes, keeping her tears at bay.

Jayden was confused and it angered him to see her like this. He placed both his hands on her face, trying to soothe the ache, she felt.

Astraea took a deep breath.

"If what he said is true, then it would break my heart." She opened her eyes, looking at him.

"I'm going to kill him." Jayden tried to turn around, but Astraea stopped him.

"Did you ask my hand in marriage, because you loved me or because someone told you to?"

Jayden freezed.

There were no words, that could try to make this situation better.

Astraea's eyes watered.

She took her hands off of him, taking a deep breath.
When she somewhat regained her senses, she spoke: "I'm going to leave and you're going to let me."

He tried to close the door, when she opened it.
"Don't."

"Please, let m--"

Astraea closed her eyes, and felt her heart shatter by the minute.

"I--" He said and she heard. But Jayden didn't want to love bomb her in staying.

She knew what he was going to say.

I love you.

Those words once felt the word to her, but now they sounded like lies.

"..."

Silence.

"Let me go." Her words broke down and a cry left her lips.

Jayden knew he needed to give her space, so he did just that.

Astraea opened the door and cried walking out.
