Lord Edmund Beaufort is a direct descendant of Prince John of Gaunt and Lady Katherine Sywnford (Roet) and she was Lord John of Gaunt mistress and later on his third wife and mother of his four legitimized children, Lord John, Lord Thomas, Lord Henry and Lady Joan Beaufort.

Lord John Beaufort, 1st Earl of Somerset married Lady Margaret Holland and they had Lord Henry Beaufort, 2nd Earl of Somerset, Lady Joan Beaufort, who married King James I of Scotland and Sir James Stuart, Lord John Beaufort, 1st Duke of Somerset, Thomas Beaufort, Count of Perche,

Edmund Beaufort, 2nd Duke of Somerset and Margaret Beaufort, Countess of Devon but none of sons survived the War of The Roses, but her brothers have children, Lord John Beaufort, 1st Duke of Somerset married Margaret Beauchamp of Bletso and she had Lady Margaret Beaufort who married Lord Edmund Tudor and was the mother of King Henry VII of England and by third marriage to Lionel Welles, 6th Baron Welles she had a son, John Welles, 1st Viscount Welles.

Lord Edmund Beaufort married Lady  Eleanor Beauchamp, Baroness de Ros and their daughter, Lady Eleanor Beaufort married for her second husband, Sir Robert Spencer and their daughter, Lady Eleanor married Sir Thomas Carey and they were the paternal grandparents of Lord Richard William Carey ancestor, Lord William Carey who married Lady Mary Boleyn who was the great-great-granddaughter of Lord John Howard 1st Duke of Norfolk and great-great-great-grandfather of Lord Henry Carey, and Lady Catherine Carey and great grandfather of Lord Charles Howard through his grandson, Lord William Howard.

Lord Edmund Beaufort was a proud man and his eldest child, Lady Jeanette Virginia had married the eldest son of Lord Patrick William and their first child would have been heir to both Dukedoms, but he married without consent of his father, and the two Dukedoms would have passed to Lord Charles Andrew Senior, but Lady Jeannette had a brother and Lord Charles Beaufort received the Dukedom of Beaufort has passed onto him.

Lady Jeanette children inherited the Dukedom of Norfolk and her youngest son inherited the Dukedom of Northumberland Territory, her grandson, Lord George Carey inherited the Dukedom of Bedford Territory and her great-great-great-grandchildren inherited the Dukedoms of Clarence, Lancaster, Kent, Gloucester and Sussex and her great-great-great-great-grandson inherited the title of Earl of Essex and her grandson inherited the title of Duke of Windsor Territory and her great-great-great-great-grandson will win the Howard' the Dukedom of Lennox Territory and Earldom of Moray in time.

No one could ever accuse Lord Edmund Beaufort of being a fool when his eldest daughter, Lady Jeanette married Lord Frederick William Howard and through them and their children they brought more territories into the Howard family.

Henry VII's children through the matrilineal line were grandchildren of King Edward IV and Queen Elizabeth Woodville and their eldest daughter, Princess Elizabeth of York, and both through the 2nd and 4th sons of King Edward IIII of England, Prince Lionel, Duke of Clarence and Edmund of Langley, 1st Duke of York and their children.

England's greatest Queen of England was the great-great-great-granddaughter of Lord John Howard 1st Duke of Norfolk and his son, Lord Thomas Howard and his wife, Lady Elizabeth Tinley and her name was Lady Elizabeth Howard who married Sir Thomas Boleyn and they had Queen Anne Boleyn who married King Henry VII of England on September 7. 1533, Queen Elizabeth was born 1st of England and she ruled England from 1558 to 1603.
