Zoey Deeks

Goodbye Ryan

Callen and Deeks walked into the bullpen and saw Sam and Ryan sitting at their desks. Callen sat at his desk and Deeks sat at Kensi's. Sam was about to speak but Kensi and Zoey walked in.

"Hi Uncle Sam" Zoey said happily.

"Hey Zoe" Sam said.

Zoey and Sam high fived. Kensi sat on Deeks' lap at her desk.

"Where were you?"

"Joelle's boss wanted us to admit that we're agent" Callen said.

"Seriously?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, she was worried about Zoey's safety"

"Seriously? She never did that with Kam"

"She's new"

"Can she do that?"

"Apparently"

Kensi looked over at Ryan.

"Hey Zoe?"

"Yes?"

"This is Emily Ryan. She's my new partner"

"Hi" Ryan said.

"Hi"

"I'm actually leaving NCIS today" Ryan said sadly.

"What? Why?"

"I've been reassigned. Flight's leave in the morning"

"When will you be back?"

"Mission could take years"

"What's the mission?"

"Undercover. I don't know the specifics but I know that I won't be back"

Suddenly Granger walked in.

"Agent Ryan, go home, tell your family what's happening and say goodbye"

She nodded her head, put her belongings in a box and said goodbye to the team and left ops. Hetty walked over to Kensi and Deeks.

"Mr Deeks, I've spoken to LAPD and you will be working with us until we find a new partner for Mrs Deeks"

"Thank you Hetty"

Hetty slightly nodded her head and left. Deeks stood up and sat at his old desk.

"Back to the old days" Deeks laughed.

Everyone laughed and Zoey sat on his lap.

"Can we go bowling tomorrow?" She asked.

"Sure. Kens?"

"Yeah"

"Uncle Callen and Sam?" Zoey asked softly.

"I'll be there" Callen said.

"Me too"

"I'll beat Uncle Callen" Sam said proudly.

"Will you?" Callen asked.

"Yeah. I'm better than you"

"We'll see"

"Yes we will"

After a few more hours of paperwork and banter. They went home. Zoey had a bath and got into her pyjamas.  Kensi, Deeks and Zoey were sitting on the sofa and watching a princess movie.

"Mommy? Daddy?"

"Yes princess?"

"When I grow up can I be a princess and live in a castle?"

"You can be whatever you want to be"

"Really?"

"Yeah"

A few minutes later, Zoey was asleep. Deeks carried her to bed. He got beers for him and Kensi and  re-joined her on the sofa. Kensi put on Top Model and rested her head on his chest. Deeks looked down at her.

"Why are you staring at me?" Kensi said as she could feel his glare.

Kensi looked at his face and he gave her a toothless smile.

"What?" She asked.

"You are so perfect"

Kensi blushed and lied back down. By the end of Top Model, Kensi was struggling to stay awake.

"Come on" Deeks said as he stood up and pulled her by the hands.

"Where are we going?" Kensi yawned.

"Bed"

Deeks dragged her upstairs and into the bedroom. Kensi got into her pyjamas and Deeks was in the bathroom. When Deeks came out of the bathroom, Kensi was asleep. He quietly got into bed and turned off the light. Kensi moved and put her head on his chest and Deeks wrapped his arms around her.

"Goodnight Kensi"

"Goodnight Marty"

*THE NEXT MORNING*

Deeks woke and saw Kensi was waking up.

"Good morning Fern" Deeks whispered in her ear.

"Mmmhhh" She mumbled.

She opened her eyes and looked at Deeks. Zoey ran in and jumped on the bed.

"We're going bowling!!" She yelled

"Yes but in a few hours"

"Awwww. I want to go now"

"We can't go now"

"Why? I'm bored"

Deeks sighed and looked at Kensi. She was looking at Deeks.

"Little help here Kensi?"

"No, I think your doing fine" Kensi smiled.

"Thanks Fern"

Deeks looked at Zoey and patted the space between him and Kensi. Zoey crawled over to them and lied down between her parents. She covered herself with the duvet and sighed.

"Can we go now?"

"Not yet" Kensi said.

"But I'm bored" Zoey complained.

"Let's go out for breakfast" Deeks suggested.

"Yeah" Zoey yelled as she jumped up.

Kensi and Deeks laughed at their daughter and got up. Kensi showered and Deeks went to Zoey's room to get her ready. He walked in and saw her looking in her wardrobe.

"You okay Zoe?"

"Yeah daddy. I want to wear this" She said as she pulled out a pink dress.

"You sure?"

"Please!! This is my favourite dress"

"Okay"

Deeks helped her get dressed and when she had the dress on, she ran to the mirror. Zoey looked at herself and smiled. Zoey turned to Deeks who was sitting on the bed.

"Am I pretty?"

"You look like a little princess"

Zoey picked up her hairbrush and started brushing her long, blonde hair. Kensi came in and looked at Zoey.

"You look very pretty" Kensi said to Zoey.

"Thanks mommy" She smiled.

"I'm going to shower and then we can go" Deeks said as he stood up.

Deeks left the room and Kensi walked over to Zoey. Zoey handed her the brush and Kensi clipped her hair back. She put a few clips at the sides to keep her hair out of her face.

"What shoes to you want to wear?"

"Ehm- the pink ones"

Kensi picked up pink, shiny shoes. Deeks came back in and looked at Kensi and Deeks.

"I need to dry my hair and then we can get breakfast."

Kensi walked out and dried her hair. After drying it, Kensi, Deeks and Zoey left.
