Zoey Deeks

Pictures

On the tables were pictures of Kensi, Deeks, Zoey, everywhere they go, Kensi's mom's house, Zoey's kindergarten and other pictures of them. Kensi took pictures on her phone of them and sent them to ops. They looked for fingerprints but there were none.

"He must've wore gloves" Deeks said.

Kensi said nothing and nodded her head.

"Let's go back to ops and see if Eric and Nell have anything"

Kensi remained silent and nodded her head. Kensi and Deeks got into the car and Deeks drove back to ops. The journey was completely silent.  Kensi looked out the side window the whole way to ops. When they arrived, Kensi and Deeks got out of the car and Kensi quickly open the door to walk inside but was stopped by Deeks. Deeks grabbed her wrist and Kensi stopped. She didn't turn around.

"Kensi...... Look at me"

Kensi looked down and faced Deeks.

"Kens"

"What?"

"Look at me"

Kensi sighed and looked at Deeks. She had  red puffy eyes and had tears in her eyes.

"Come here" He said as pulled her into him.

Kensi wrapped her arms around him and Deeks held her tight. Deeks stroked her hair.

"It's okay" Deeks whispered.

"No it's not. Someone wants us and our four year old dead"

"We're going to get this guy. I promise"

Kensi nodded her head and pulled away. Kensi looked at Deeks and he wiped her tears away with him thumb.

"I'm sorry" Kensi said as she looked away.

"Hey... It's okay" Deeks said as he watched her.

Kensi walked inside and walked into the bullpen. Zoey was sitting with Granger and when Kensi and Deeks walked in, Granger got up and walked away. Kensi and Deeks sat at their desks and looked at Zoey. Callen and Sam weren't back yet.

"Why are you looking at me?" Zoey asked her parents.

Kensi and Deeks looked at each other and then looked away. Deeks' phone started ringing. He answered and ended the call a few minutes later.

"Hey Zoe.. Can you go up to Eric and Nell and ask them if they have anything?" Deeks said.

Zoey nodded her head and went to ops. Once she was gone, Deeks looked at Kensi.

"So, my buddy from LAPD said that they found out our case and he said they've been searching for a guy that has reportably  been stalking families and then killing the parents and then making the children watch. We have to go over and get the information"

"Can't they just send it to Eric and Nell?"

"They can't"

"Why not?"

"It's written"

"What? Why?"

Deeks said nothing and shrugged his shoulders. Zoey called Kensi and Deeks from the top of the stairs.

"Mommy! Daddy! Eric and Nell have something"

Kensi and Deeks ran up to ops. They walked in and Eric and Nell had the photos on the big screen.

"Well, there were no prints but the blood belongs ... wait for it... Jacky Montez" Eric said.

"What?" Kensi and Deeks said at the same time, shocked.

Eric and Nell said nothing and sighed.

"Alright, well uh we have to go to LAPD so see if you find anything else, call us" Deeks said.

Eric and Nell nodded their heads and Kensi and Deeks walked out, followed by Zoey. Callen and Sam walked in and looked at Kensi and Deeks. Kensi and Deeks told Callen and Sam what happened and where they were going.

"Zoey, stay here with Uncle Callen and Sam" Kensi said.

"Why?"

"Just stay here and we will be back soon, Please"

Zoey sadly nodded her head and walked over to Callen and Sam. A while later, Kensi and Deeks came in with big boxes of files.

"Seriously?" Sam asked.

"Yeah and there's more in the car" Kensi said as she put the boxes on the ground.

Deeks walked back out to the car and got the rest of the boxes. When Deeks walked back into the bullpen, Callen looked at his watch.

"It's late. Let's start this fresh in the morning"

The team nodded their heads and Callen and Sam stood up.

"Goodnight guys" Callen said.

"Goodnight" Sam, Kensi and Deeks said.

"Goodnight Uncle Callen" Zoey said to Callen.

"Goodnight Uncle Sam" Zoey said to Sam.

"Goodnight Zoe" Callen and Sam said.

Callen and Sam walked out and went home. Zoey was sitting on Deeks' lap and playing with her favourite doll. Kensi opened one of the boxes and took out one of the files. She started reading it and Deeks looked at her.

"We're not going home, are we?" Deeks said.

"Nope. Start reading"

Deeks sighed and picked up a file. Zoey looked at her parents and started yawning.

"Do you want to go asleep?" Deeks asked Zoey.

"No daddy. I'm a big girl and I can stay awake forever"

Kensi and Deeks laughed and continued reading the files. Five minutes later, Zoey was asleep and her head was resting on Deeks' chest. Deeks picked her up and placed her on the couch and put a blanket over her. After hours of reading, Kensi and Deeks feel asleep.
