Y/N was thinking hard on what to say on when they were confessing to Tanjiro. Writing and practising what to and what not to say whilst confessing. They were new to this feeling and even then, they wanted to try their best to make him happy.
One day, they finally decided on doing so. "Tanjiro I know we only knew each other for 3 months but I like you...as in more then a friend" Y/N stated, "I'm sorry Y/N...I like someone else" He simply told her before bowing (in respect or a more sorry bow) and leaving.
Tears flown onto their face without realizing, Mitsuri came out to check for them. "Y/N-Chan don't cry" Mitsuri said wiping your tears away. "What happened ?" she asked wondering onto why the person she adored romantically would go on crying. Y/N carefully explained the situation with hiccups due to crying. "Ahh, nothing could be done about that... although you still have me!" Mitsuri said trying to encourage you.
"I-I guess you're right" Y/N replied smiling to themselves. Mitsuri carried her to her Estate not before getting 10 packs of Sakura Mochi she brought to share with Y/N. "Say 'ah~'" Mitsuri asked her as she did, putting a small amount of mochi inside their mouth. "Hmm~ It tastes great" Y/N awed at the flavor of the sweet, soft dessert.
Days went by, Y/N started getting closer with Mitsuri whether it'd be a hangout or a sleepover. Of course that didn't go unnoticed by the Hashiras who kept shipping them (In this AU, Obanai doesn't love Mitsuri but only likes her platonically).
"That was very flamboyant! I'm sure you'd be a great partner for Mitsuriii" Tengen shouted leaving a certain h/c-nette to have tinted cheeks. "I hope I could.." They said before preparing some flowers for her some f/f (favorite flower) that is in pink.
They went to find her, who was near the Butterfly Estate. "Mitsuri...would you be my girlfriend?" Y/N spoke while showing her the flower she picked out. "Yes!" She replied with a small blush on her cheeks. Coincidentally, Tanjiro needed to visit Zenitsu on his way but after hearing that he felt a slight pang of jealousy and regret.
At first he really did like Kanao, although after dating her he thought it was better if they separate ways. But maybe it was just fate that didn't let them. But even though then he wanted to be happy for them. Even if he weren't the one to love for them, he hoped Mitsuri would take care of them well.
