Chapter 14- Demonic Full Moon

"Well the thing is" Yugi started "we have to do a ceremony in 5 days and we were wondering if you guys would help"?

"What ceremony are you talking about" Atem asked.

"Okay the truth is in 5 days there is going to be another full moon" Yugi said.

"But that doesn't make sense there was a full moon yesterday" Atem said.

"Atem this isn't a regular full moon. This moon is blood red instead of pure white. It is know as the Demonic Full Moon. On that night we are vulnerable to any creature of the night. And on that night me, Ryou, Malik, and Joey will transform into what we call our darker selves. When we are in this transformation we won't turn back until the ceremony is complete. The ceremony is when our Yamis exchange blood with us. If we don't do it at the right moment we will all be vulnerable to the demon's control and won't be able to stop it until the next Demonic Full Moon, which will be in the next 17 years. During the ceremony, however, the blood exchanging will be painful, and we are sorry, but will you still go through knowing that" Yugi asked.

"Of course" Atem said.

"What? Why?" Yugi asked.

"Because we love you guys so of course we will help" Atem said.

"Sure it will hurt, but if it keeps you four safe, then we are all good" Bakura said.

The four boys cried, and then jumped into their Yamis' laps and hugged them.

"Thank you" The Hikaris said.

"No problem" They said.

"Oh and one more thing, we need you guys to bring the millennium items as well" Yugi said.

"Why" Atem asked.

"Because when we do the ceremony, we will also be repowering the items, so they can still be powerful" Yugi explained.

"Oh" Atem said.

"So what are your darker selves " Bakura asked as he held Ryou in his lap.

The others were doing the same thing.

"Well when we transform into them we look a lot more shadowy. We can transform into them at will, but on a Demonic Full Moon, we need our Yamis to help change us back." Ryou said.

"We look more demonic and also have demonic legends in those forms as well" Malik said.

"You guys have legends for your transformations as well" Marik exclaimed.

"Yep, and we also have titles that are similar to our other titles" Joey said.

"What are they" Seto asked.

"Well mine is Ryou Bakura, Lord of Torture and Pain, and One of the Four Hikarians of The Death Realm. " Ryou said.

"Mine is Malik Ikatsu, Lord of Nightmares and Fear, and One of the Four Legendary Hikarians of the Death Realm. " Malik stated.

"Mine is Joey Wheeler, High Priest of Misery and Lonliness, and One of the Four Legendary Hikarians of the Death Realm" Joey said.

"And mine is Yugi Mouto, King of Death and Chaos, and One of The Legendary Hikarians, and Ruler of the Death Realm" Yugi said.

"Wow you guys have negative titles" Seto stated.

"Of course. It is our darker selves we are talking about" Joey said.

"Well that makes sense" Bakura said.

Then the door opened to reveal Mokuba, who was smiling happily.

"Hello council people, and Hikaris" Mokuba cheered.

"Mokuba what are you so happy about" Joey asked, as Mokuba sat down in his chair.

"Well the Demonic Full Moon is coming and I am so excited" Mokuba said.

"Wait Mokuba knows about all this" Seto asked.

"Yes" Joey said.

"I have also seen them in their Darker forms as well" Mokuba said.

"No way, seriously" Bakura asked shocked.

"Yup, and let me tell you, when you see them in that form you will never want to get on their bad side" Mokuba said.

"Now this has spiked my interest. Can you guys please transform into your darker selves" Marik pleaded.

"We can't" Malik said.

"Why not" Marik asked.

"Because yesterday was a full moon, so we have to wait until the Demonic Full Moon to transform" Malik answered.

"Aw man, that sucks" Marik complained.

"Anyways, why are you so happy about the Demonic Full Moon, Mokuba" Yugi asked.

"Because there is going to be a lot of demons, and we get to go hunting" Mokuba said as he took a bite of some chicken on the plate.

"Hunting!? Mokuba there is no way I am letting you go hunting" Seto said.

"Actually he can, even if he doesn't get permission from you. And I say this because he is an expert demon hunter now, and he is going to hunt with me" Joey said.

"Yeah we always hunt in pairs or groups, that way no one is alone" Yugi said.

"Well okay, but I am joining" Seto said.

"Count us in as well" Atem said.

"But it will be dangerous" Yugi complained.

"We don't care, if you guys can handle it so can we" Atem said.

"Okay, but just so you guys know me, Ryou, Malik, and Joey will be hunting as our darker selves" Yugi said.

"Cool" Bakura said.

"Oh and one more thing. When we are in our darker states, we will be sort of cruel when killing demons. So don't be suprised." Joey said.

"Okay" they shuddered.

"So are we also gonna collect demon blood" Mokuba asked.

"Of course Mokuba" Yugi said.

"Cool, can I watch" Mokuba asked

"Uh, are you sure you wanna, Mokuba" Joey asked uncertain.

"Come on Joey, I have seen a lot of scary things. I am sure this is nothing: Mokuba said.

"Okay then" Joey shrugged.

"We would like to see that as well" Bakura said.

"Fine, but when we collect the blood, you all must be very quiet" Ryou said.

"Why" Marik asked.

"Because if you disturb us, we will end up trying to kill you" Malik said.

"When we are in our darker states we tend to lash out when being disturbed" Yugi said.

"Okay we understand" Atem said.

"Good" Yugi said.

After they talked some more and finished eating, they all went to their chambers to sleep.
