Chapter 22- Malik Ruler of the East!!!

"What did Seto want" Malik asked.

"How did you know I was talking to him" Marik asked suprised.

"You stopped and had that daydream look" Malik answered while his ears started twitching.

"He said to tell you that Joey is ready" Marik said.

"Okay" Malik said as he began ro walk again.

"What is he ready for" Marik asked.

"Nothing that you should worry about" Malik said as he walked.

"Okay" Marik said a little unsure still.

Suddenly they heard a lot of noises. They looked around, but saw nothing. Then when they turned towards the direction they were heading, there was a giant shadow wall in front of them. Then when they turned around, they saw that they were surrounded by the shadow wall.

"What's going on" Mahaad asked.

Malik growled.

"It's a shadow wall" Malik said.

"What's that" Ishizu asked.

"Back in Jelena the demons used to trap their victims by surrounding them with a shadow wall" Malik said.

Suddenly the walls started moving in on them.

"Oh now what are we gonna do" Ishizu said.

Malik looked around and then narrowed his eyes on a certain spot. Then he narrowed his eyes at the top of the 40ft wall. The ceiling was clear, and when he saw that he smirked.

"Okay, I'm gonna need you guys to trust me okay" Malik said to them as the walls were only 8 feet away from them.

They nodded.

"What are you going to do" Shadi asked.

"Just watch. Marik can you come here for a second" Malik said looking to Marik.

Marik walked over to Malik.

"What is it" Marik asked.

"Put your hand against the shadow wall and focus your mind on it" Malik said.

Marik gained a confused look but did it anyway. When he focused really hard, the walls stopped moving.

"What is happening" Marik asked how did I do that"!?

"You focused your magic into the wall and it stopped. The power of your magic is strong like mine" Malik said.

Then Malik got into position. He leaped onto the wall and ran all the way up to the top. When he got there he looked down to see them looking at him with huge eyes. Then he gathered as much magic energy as he needed. Black magic surrounded his hands. Then he punched the wall beneath him and it shattered. And then he fell to the ground but landed on his feet swiftly.

"Come on" Malik said as he ran.

The others came out of their shocked looks and followed.

"How did you do that" Marik exclaimed.

"I'll tell you later" Malik said.

Then they stopped to take a breather. But then they heard a large growl. Everyone went on alert.

"What was that" Shadi asked quietly.

Then they heard another growl.

"Okay, on my mark, we run to the outskirts" Malik said quietly.

The other nodded and held a look of determination.

"1..........

Another growl

"2..........

Barking sound grew louder

"3!!!!

They break into a run, and the creatures sprint after them.

"Go left" Malik said.

They followed and some of the creatures were cut off by a shadow wall.

"Go right" Malik shouted.

They went right and the creatures were once again blocked. Once they were sure they weren't being followed anymore they went back to running to the outskirts. When they finally got there, everyone was panting.

"Man I haven't run like that since I was 19" Shadi said.

"Sis, are you okay" Marik asked Ishizu.

"Yeah, phew" Ishizu said.

"Why wouldn't she be okay" Malik asked.

"Oh yeah you don't know. Well my sister is 3 months pregnant" Marik said.

"SHE'S PREGNANT" Malik exclaimed.

"Yeah" Marik said sheepishly.

Suddenly Marik was hit in the head hard.

"Ow, what was-" Marik started but he was interrupted when he was pulled by the collar of his shirt.

"YOU BAKA!!! WE COULD HAVE LOST A CHILD ON THIS MISSION!!! WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SHE WAS PREGNANT.!!! Y-YOU ASSHOLE!!!" Malik yelled angrily.

Marik flinched. He had never heard Malik curse before. This was a first. Then Malik let go of his shirt.

"Malik it's okay. I chose to go on this mission" Ishizu said.

"No it is not okay. We could've lost that child. I don't want that to happen to you" Malik sighed.

"Don't worry so much about it and let's finish the mission. Besides you will be here to watch over us" Ishizu said.

"Very well but let me do one more thing before we go" Malik said.

Ishizu nodded as Malik walked up to her and leaned down so he was facing her stomach. Then he put his hand on her stomach and closed his eyes.

"Protection spell" Malik said.

Suddenly his hand glowed a bright white. When the light died down he removed his hand and opened his eyes.

"What did you do" Ishizu asked.

"I put a protection spell on the baby so if you get hurt the baby won't be damaged" Malik said.

"Thank you" Ishizu smiled.

"So who is the father" Malik asked.

"Oh that's Shadi" Ishizu said.

At that statement Malik became furious and grabbed Marik by the collar again.

"YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT YOU LET THE FATHER OF THE CHILD COME ALONG!!! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?!? ARE YOU TRYING TO GRATE MY NERVES!?!?" Malik yelled at Marik.

"N-no" Marik said.

Then Malik sighed and let go of him.

"Nevermind, we'll talk this later" Malik sighed exhausted as he faced the kingdom.

Then he stomped his foot and the ground below them rose. They were on top, and could see the southern part of the kingdom. Malik smirked.

"So he did use that technique" Malik said "okay you guys just stay there behind me".

They followed the order while Malik stepped at the edge. He closed his eyes and his ears twitched while his tail swayed.

"Dark magic, Flame Overtake" Malik said.

Suddenly the entire East side of yhe kingdom caught on fire. Flames engulfed every single building.

"Death magic, Shadow Demon Reaper" Malik said.

The Shadows mixed with the flames and demon screams could be heard. The Malik sat down criss crossed on the ground with his eyes closed.

"Marik, use your link with Bakura and Yami, and tell them I am ready" Malik said.

Marik nodded and focused on the two. Then he told them.

(Guys tell your hikaris that Malik is ready) Marik said.

Then he shut off his link. They sat there and waited for the others to hurry, and eventually Ishizu fell asleep in Shadi's lap.
