to kayama, togami had seem a bit.. off. he hadn't seemed as happy as he usually did. "he's probably got a lot on his mind," she thought.

but really, from his perspective, there was a lot happening. meetings, home stuff, everything was getting to be stressful for him.

all he wanted was a day off, where he didn,t have to work, or go to meetings; to just sleep and be in the grand presence of kayama.

but she hadn't been great; physically. she had a cold and sore throat that had been going on for days. besides her cold, she had been running everything like normal, keeping up with her routines around the house, her friends, she was pre-occupied when he was gone.

but sometimes, she would just sit there and think. think things like, "is he faking it?"

but tonight, as she was doing her usual routine and making dinner, trying out new things, she felt a pang in her heart.

"does he really love me?"

she thought about everything they've done and how much she loves him.

"does he love me?"

"of course he does, leah."

"but what if he doesn't?"

what if.

-

he easily gets mad at people. and he'll carry that throughout the whole day with him, until she's there to make it all better.

she's the only thing that will help.

-

staring down at the chopped vegetables, she felt bad for them. being eaten by two rich people.

why be eaten by rich people when you can give them to kids to help them grow?

she turned off the stove, sat on the couch and ordered food from their favorite restaurant.

and cried.

over nothing.

-

basically speeding home, he felt like a mess. frowning, cursing and crying -- something that never happens.

"oh god, please, please let this end before i get home."

-

he flew through the door and wiped his eyes.

"hey, what's wrong?" she asked quietly.

"these people, these goddamn people, make me so angry. every- every single good idea i have, they turn it down. and then they have their stupid fucking ideas, so idiotic, and they cheer for them," he sniffed.

"i'm sorry, love.." she said.

"it's not your fault."

she put a hand on his shoulder and looked into his tear filled, red eyes.

"byakuya togami, you are awesome. so awesome. they're just all a bunch of useless pricks who don't know what they're talking about."

"thank you."

"adding into my list of insults, they all look like wet noodles."

"where did you get that?"

"dunno. read it somewhere, now i use it all the time."
