Chapter 16

Brielle's POV

I'm finally out of the hospital and back in the house and I'm feeling a little better.

My head still hurts a bit but the doctor just told me that I needed to take medication and get some rest and I will be better.

I haven't seen Lorenzo since I've been back Rosa did tell me he had to be at the base so I'm not surprised, and it might be a good thing considering I don't think I can face him since I opened up about James to him.

The last thing I want is for him to look at me with pity, I won't lie it did feel good to get the situation of my chest but I hate feeling like I depended on James when I didn't.

Rosa walks into my room as soon as I get settled down in bed and comes to lay next to me.

"Why didn't you tell me?" She asked after a few minutes of silence.

"I didn't want your pity." I explained to her causing her to turn to look at me completely.

"Brielle I wouldn't have judged you I would have sat there and let you tell me all about that son of a bitch."

"It wasn't that simple Rosa." I say trying my hardest to keep my tears in.

I'm telling the truth it wasn't that simple to talk openly about how James abused me because I feared people would have judged me for not leaving him sooner.

I wanted to I really did, but I thought that he actually loved me I didn't expect for things to take a huge turn in this direction.

"I understand." Rosa says while laying back down.

As much as I enjoyed the support Rosa gave me I truly don't think she understands how hard it was for me and I'm glad she doesn't because it is a feeling that I wouldn't wish on my biggest enemy.

"You wanna watch a movie?" She asked pulling me out of my thoughts.

I nod my head causing Rosa to get the remote to the TV and go to Netflix so we could search for something to watch.

We were about 30 minutes into the movie when Rosa fell asleep, looking outside I see that the sun has set and the time on the clock reads 10:00 pm.

I really wasn't expecting to be in the hospital for almost the whole day, I didn't even want to be there but I understand where Milo and Rosa were coming from.

I mean I did pass out in the car out of no where. I get up out of my bed careful to not wake Rosa I then head downstairs to get something to drink because the medicine I'm taking makes me extremely thirsty.

Walking downstairs I relize how dark it was indicating everyone is most likely asleep right now.

I mean that is if everyone is here. I think Romeo, Greyson and Lorenzo are still at the base but I'm not 100 percent sure because I have been in my room since I got back.

Walking to the kitchen I am surprise to see that the light to the living room is on and that someone is in there.

Completely forgetting my glass of water due to my curiosity I make my way out to the livingroom.

That's when I see Lorenzo sitting on the couch with a glass of whiskey his suit he had on now missing the jacket and the first few buttons on his shirt are undone just like his tie and his hair is a mess as if he ran his hand through it many of times.
