Mafia series: Innocence

Chapter 25

Lorenzo's POV

"Thank you all for coming." I say while taking a seat at the table where other leaders of different mafias are seated.

I look to my right to see Brielle shifting a little bit with nerves, I mean it is her first mafia meeting so it's understandable.

"As you all know, my mafia has been struggling recently."

Everyone nods at me letting me know they understand allowing me to continue.

"My shipments have been sabotage, some of my warehouses in different states have been broken into."

"And the people responsible for it is the Bratva." As I look around the table to see if everyone is listening I then see Klaus the leader to the German mafia giving a certain look to Juan the leader to the Puerto Rican mafia.

"Do you have any questions or concerns Klaus." I asked causing him to jump a little before looking at me.

"No not at all Don, but I do wonder how you think our mafias would be any help with this problem the Bratva is very dangerous." He says to me while looking at everyone else at the table.

"They are but if we put our mafias together and find a mutual plan, we will be fine." Henry says while giving me a nod to continue.

"I understand that some of you will not be joining us in this fight and I will understand, but do remember my father bent his back for your mafias plenty of times."

Everyone takes a second looking around some with guilt on their faces others with nothing.

I take a quick second to look over at Brielle to see that she is looking at her hands in her lap, one of her signs of nerves. I take her hands under the table and put one in mine and I then look up to see Klaues daughter Elena giving Brielle a glare.

"Klaus, warum ist deine Tochter in das heutige Treffen involviert?" I spoke to him causing him to give me a surprise reaction as if he didn't know I spoke German.

(Klaus why is your daughter involved in today's meeting)

He looked at me as if he was going to say something but he then turned to his daughter and said.

"Go wait outside Engel."

(Angel)

"What, why?" She said while giving her father a dirty look.

"Geh, du machst mich und dich selbst in Verlegenheit." He growled at her causing her to stand up and stomp her way out of the room..

(Go you are embarrassing me and yourself)

I look over at Brielle to see that she has a small grin on her face, indicating that she did in fact enjoy that little show.

"I'm sorry Don, where were we?" Klaus said breaking the silence in the room allowing me to go back to the subject at hand.

After the meeting I had one of my drivers drive Brielle back to the house because I am going out with Greyson and some of our team to see through one of our trade offs.

We are meeting some sort of street gang and gonna sell some guns, I usually don't work with street gangs but their leader has been stalking my men on their jobs for the last year trying to gain my attention.

So now they have my attention and me and Greyson are on our way there with some of our men.

"Do you really trust this mio amico?" Greyson asked dragging my attention away from my phone.
