Chapter 78

Brielle's POV

Lorenzo and I are currently outside of the house deciding when we want to go in. Well it's more of Lorenzo waiting for me to be ready to go in. I am so ready to go in there and hug my son and never let go of him, but a part of me is afraid to see him because I have been away from him for a week or two I don't know I lost track of time a little after the fifth day.

I just don't want him to think that I left him intentionally because I would never in a million years do that to him, Leon is my life and I would do anything for him.

"Elle we have to go in at some point." I look at Lorenzo to see that he was staring at me with a small smile on his face.

'What are you smiling at?"

"I just think you look adorable when you are overthinking something, trust me when I say Leon will be so happy to see you." I blush at his comment before taking a deep breath I then open the car door on the passenger side and get out.

Lorenzo had just told his family to wait in the living room everyone knows that I'm safe except Leon because Lorenzo thought it would be a nice surprise for him. We walk up the stairs and once we are in front of the front door Lorenzo opens it.

He walks in first while I just stood there in the door way trying to gain some confidence. I don't know why but a part of me feels weak right now. It seems that I have so many reunions like this with his family. It always ends with me leaving either by choice or force and then Lorenzo always is the one to bring me back except that one time where it was Rosa and Romeo.

"You will be fine." He grabs my hand and then leads me to the living room where everyone was talking to each other and as soon as we entered all eyes were on us. I looked around the room and saw everyone except my little boy.

I look at Lorenzo confused as to where our son was and he looked at me with the same confusion on his face.

"Where is Le-." 

"Mommy!" Leon's little voice cut Lorenzo off mid sentence.

I turn around to see that he had walked in with Ana and the tears that gather in her eyes tells me she knew what had happened. I give her a small smile before leaning down so Leon could run into my arms.

"I missed you so much mammina." I look up at Lorenzo once I hear Leon say something that sounded like it meant Mommy in italian and he just smiles at me.

"I missed you too baby." I hold him tight to me in the hug because I have missed the feeling of my little boys skin against mine.

"Mommy I have to show you my room that Nonna made me when you were on your trip." His words eased any anxiety I had because I now know that he just thought I was on a trip instead of thinking that I left him. I'm also relieved that he doesn't know the truth either.

"Ok how about we give Mommy a little time to rest before she looks Leon." Isabella said as she makes her way towards us.

"I missed you so much Brielle." She says as she brings me in for a hug before she pulls away and wipes a few tears off her face.

"Leon, Ava lets go get dinner ready what do you two say." They both jump up and down in excitement before following Isabella into the kitchen.

It was just me, Lorenzo, Valentino, Rosa, Romeo, Greyson and Ana left in the living room now. Ana runs towards me and pulls me into a hug which yet again causes me to tear up.

"You fucking scared me, don't ever do that gain Brie." I let out a laugh at how serious she sounded because she was barely ever this serious.

"I'm truly glad that the motherfucker is dead now." Rosa said which causes all of us to agree with her.

"Wheres Niko?" I was generally curious as to where he was because the last thing I can recall was Lorenzo telling his men to help Mateo take him to the car.

"Oh he is in his own kind of hell right now." Romeo responds to my question which causes me to raise a brow.

"He is being taken care of no need to worry darling." Valentino said as he made his way to me and pulled into a hug. His touch gives me that fatherly love that I have been missing ever since my parents.

"I'm glad you're ok." he plants a quick kiss on my head before heading to the kitchen where his wife and grandkids are. I am happy to be back home with my family I feel safe and comfortable here and I can finally relax after the week I have had.

"I think it's time for you to get some rest." Lorenzo says to me which causes me to nod in agreement. I am definitely tired as much as I tried to sleep last night I couldn't. It was between the feeling of Lorenzo's hands on my body and the fact that every time I would close my eyes I was back in that house with Nikolai.

"Ok see you guys when dinner is ready." Rosa said to us as we made our way upstairs. I was walking towards my room before Lorenzo grabbed my arm pulling me back into his room.

"What, Lorenzo please I don't think my body can handle anymore sex." I say as I feel my face flush. He then lets out a laugh.

"I know baby, as much as I want to fuck you again I know we both could use the sleep so that's why we are here in our room."

Our room?

Hearing those words leave his mouth makes my heart rate increase. I finally feel like everything is coming together and that me and Lorenzo will finally have the happy ending we both deserve.

We have been through so much together that now that we seem to be coming to a point in our life where we can just enjoy each other and each other's company.

"Let's get some sleep." He goes into his closet and then comes back with no shirt on and just in a pair of grey sweatpants. In his arms were one of his hoodies and another pair of sweatpants. He hands them to me and I change quickly and then climb in bed next to him.

"I love you." That was the last words to leave his lips as he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me to him as we both fell asleep in each other's arms.

This just feels right to me.
