Brielle's POV
I'm not sure when but Ana and I ended up falling asleep on the couch while watching TV and I was then woken by Leon because he had woken up and wanted a bath. Ana got up not too long after I did and told me she was going to go to the store to get some things for dinner.
As I was giving Leon a bath he began filling me in on everything him and Lorenzo had done last night. They seemed to have had a lot of fun, Leon told me how he had Italian food for dinner and they then went to the toy store so he could get new toys and before they went to sleep they watched his favorite movie which happened to be fast and furious.
I couldn't stop the smile that made it's way to my face at the thought of Leon having fun with his dad, it made me happy knowing that he can finally build that relationship he deserves with his father. But it also makes me feel guilty knowing it's my fault they didn't have this bond earlier.
"Are you ready to get out?" I asked Leon as he was too busy playing with his bath toys, I swear this kid has a huge imagination. Once I get Leon out of the bath tub I then wrap him up in a towel before we both walk back into his room to find him some clothes. Since we weren't going out I just grabbed a pair of his pajamas and put him in them.
I then heard the front door open so I left Leon to his toys while I went to help Ana with the groceries. As I entered the kitchen I could see a pissed off expression on her face.
"Hey is everything alright?" She looked at me before handing me a paper which I began reading and I couldn't believe what I was reading.
Dear residents of the building this is your notice to start getting your belongings in order, we will begin building the new hotel next month so I expect all of you out by the end of this month.
Carter Miller.
"He even sounds like a dick in writing." Ana says as she begins to put some of the groceries up. How are we going to find a place that quick, we don't have enough money to find a new apartment not to mention we would be calling last minute and most landlord's hate when new residents try to do that.
"What are we going to do?" I asked as she looked at me before walking over to me and pulling the paper from my hands as she set it down on the counter.
"Hey listen to me, we will worry about this tomorrow for tonight Let's just get past dinner." She's right one thing at a time. I take a deep breath before I look at the counter to see everything she had bought.
"Do you want some help with dinner?" I asked and she nodded with a smile and we got to work on making dinner while Ana hooked her phone up playing music and once Leon heard the music he made his way out here and began dancing which caused me and Ana to laugh as we were cooking, I would stop here and there to either join him for a little or take a video of him.
After a few minutes a knock came to the door causing me to pull away from Leon since we were dancing together, I then make my way to the door and I open it to see Lorenzo he was wearing the same suit from this morning but he now had a tired expression on his face.
"Hey." I greeted him with a genuine smile on my face as I moved out of the way so he could enter. Once he was inside his eyes landed on Leon dancing to Apple bottom jeans, a smile then made it's way to his face as he sneaks up behind Leon and taps his shoulder once Leon turned around he saw his dad and had a big smile on his face.
"Daddy!" Leon shouted as he ran into Lorenzo's arms.
"Hey buddy." Lorenzo then let Leon go and once he did Leon went back to dancing. I couldn't help but laugh at his moves, the poor kid had no rhythm in his body.
"Mommy, come dance." I make my way back to Leon and we begin dancing in circles around the living room just laughing and dancing. I then glanced over to Lorenzo to see that he wasn't just looking at Leon anymore, he was watching me with something in his eyes that I couldn't point out but the look quickly disappeared because his attention was they put on Ana as she came out of the kitchen to tell us dinner was done.
We all make our way to the dining table as me and Ana bring the food out. For dinner tonight me and Ana made Chicken Parmesan Leon's favorite. As we all made our plates and started eating Leon decided to share some of his random stories which gave us all a good laugh. None of us adults really talked to each other we mostly just listen to Leon, Lorenzo of course thanked Ana and me for dinner and inviting him and he would look at us once and while so we could explain to him what Leon was talking about.
We all had finished eating and I told Ana that I had no problem doing dishes so her and Leon went back to the living room and starting dancing with each other, Lorenzo then made his way into the kitchen putting dishes next to me and started helping me.
"You know you don't have to help." I told him as he looked down at me with a smile.
"I don't mind." We kept staring at each other for a bit before he went to scrape a plate at the garbage can but his eyes then landed on the paper that was on the counter and his eyes furrowed, but before I could grab it he picked it up and started reading it.
"What's this?" He looked back up at me and I quickly grabbed the paper before throwing it away. He walks over to me but before I could go back to the sink he grabs my wrist and pulls me towards him.
"What the hell was that Brielle?" He asked again but this time his voice was deeper and more demanding, and instead of scaring me it made me push my legs together and luckily he didn't see.
"It's nothing Lorenzo, now let me go."
"Are you guys getting evicted?" I made my way back to the sink before I turned towards him again.
"It really doesn't concern you Lorenzo." He looked a little taken back by my tone and what I had said. I really don't know why he want's to know it has nothing to do with him.
"That's where you're wrong Brielle it does concern me, because my son is involved."
Shit... He had a good point there Brie.
"We have to find a new place because this building is getting turned into a hotel." I tell him as I look at the floor, I don't need to see the look in his eyes he must think I'm a horrible mother because my son and I might not have a place after this.
"Brielle look at me." His deep voice came to my ears but I just couldn't look at him. I then felt his hand on my chin as he tilted my head up to look at him which caused my breathing to get rapid.
"You know you have a place back in New York, I'm sure my family would love to see you and they would also love to meet Leon." He looks at me with a small smile as his thumb begins caressing my cheek.
"Lorenzo, I can't just up and leave, I have a job and I wouldn't feel okay leaving Ana after everything she has done for me and Leon." There have been many times where I have thought about going back to New York but I just never made a move to or brought it up with Ana. But Lorenzo has a good point Leon's family is there and it isn't fair that I keep him from them.
"Just think about it, I won't waste anymore time away from my son." He says his voice turning cold again. Before I could say anything else he left I heard him say bye to Leon before the front door closed.
More decisions... Great
