Chapter 43

Brielle's POV

A couple weeks later...

It has been a few weeks since I left New York with Ana, and turns out the plane we took that day took us to California.

When we first got here I felt bad because I didn't have any money on me at all so I couldn't stay in a hotel.

So I have been staying with Ana in her 2 bedroom apartment.

We both have grown close together since I have being staying with her, turns out she works as a nurse at the hospital.

I then told her that I had my degree in nursing and she convinced me to apply for a job there and I got it.

If I were to say these past few weeks have been easy I would be lying, they have been the exact opposite.

I have been crying so much that I have been getting sick almost every hour of the day.

It is definitely taking a toll on me especially since I just started working at the hospital last week.

That only added to the other stressful things in my life at the moment.

"Hey are you sure your ok?" Ana and I are currently on our way to work right now and she has been worried because I haven't fealt good all day.

She tried to get me to stay home but I didn't want to because I am trying to earn as much money as possible so I can soon get my own place.

I can't help but feel like a burden to her.

"Yes, Ana I already told you I'm fine." I say through a giggle trying to ease her nerves.

To be honest I feel like complete shit but I need to work, I can't live with Ana forever.

"Ok but if anything happens just call me and I will come to wherever you are.

I nod my head as we pull into the hospital parking lot and start heading inside.

When I first started working here I had trouble with finding where I was supposed to be, I still do have trouble sometimes but not as much.

As we walk in and clock in for our shifts we go to the schedule board in the nurse locker room so we can see which doctor we will be assisting.

"Oh fuck."

I look at Ana to see that she is definitely not happy with whoever she is helping.

I'm still new here so I don't really know all the doctors.

"What?"

"I got Doctor Miller." She looks at me before explaining more.

"She's a bitch." I slowly nod my head before looking over to the board so I can get a look at who I'm working with.

Damon Black.

"Is Doctor Black bad?" I asked Ana just so I can be prepare for anything.
