Chapter 70

Lorenzo's POV

I have been sitting in my car in the driveway of my family home for about 30 minutes now.

Brielle has been gone for 3 hours and I can't even think straight. I just got her back and now she is gone and it's my fault.

I can not walk in that house and face my son knowing that I have no clue where his mother is, I also can't handle all of the questions that will be thrown my way.

I'm worried and the fact that I can't figure out where she is only makes me angry. As of right now we can't even find Ferdinand which only confirmed my theory that the motherfucker had something to do with Brielle.

I fucking knew I had a rat in my mafia, I just couldn't figure out who it was. I'm just thankful it was someone who isn't too involved with the big jobs.

I take a deep breath before getting out of my car and begin walking to the front door. I wanted to stay back at the warehouse to continue my search but Samuel brought it to my attention that I needed to go home and comfort my son.

He told me that him and Mateo would call if something comes up.

Let's just pray that something does.

I enter the house and I hear talking in the kitchen and once I entered I then soon wished I didn't.

My father was holding my mother in his arms as she was crying while Greyson was rubbing Rosa's back comforting her while she looked pissed.

Rosa turns to me but she doesn't say anything as she looks away. My mother then looks at me and makes her way over to me pulling me into a hug.

"We got the photo as well." My father says causing me to clench my jaw.

"How the fuck did this happen?" Rosa asked in an oddly calm voice which meant she was anything but calm.

"It was Ferdinand he was Nikolai's eyes and ears on the inside." I look over to see my father shaking his head.

I can tell he is a little disappointed in me, he had told me multiple times to look deeper into my mafia for the traitor but I was too busy either planning to get Nikolai or missing Brielle.

Now I wish I would have listened.

"We have to get her back." My mother says.

"We will Mama, but all we can do is wait for any information on her."

"What if they kill her." My mother says as she begins to cry a little more.

"They won't, she's his weakness they want her as bait." My father says as he looks at me before pulling my mother into his arms again.

She is and will always be too pure for this lifestyle.

I look away not wanting anyone to read my face expression. I know she is my weakness but the fact that it is so obvious makes me angry.

Because that is only an other reason why I am the one to blame for her being kidnapped.

"Where's Leon?" I asked as I looked around not seeing him anywhere.

"He's in the movie room with Ava and Romeo." Greyson answers me.

I leave the kitchen to head towards the movie room. As I enter the movie room I see the heads of Romeo, Leon and Ava in the front row they were eatting some snacks and laughing as they watch some movie that I have never seen before.

I slowly make my way down to them and it takes a few seconds before they realize my presence.

"Dad!" Leon shouts as he moves out of his seat and runs into my arms. I look down at Ava to see that she was looking at Leon as I hugged him in my arms and a look of jealousy appeared causing me to chuckle.

"Come here kiddo." I say while opening my other arm for her which causes her to smile as she makes her way over to join the hug.

"I thought I would never see the day that Lorenzo De Luca became a father." Romeo said as he looked at me with a smile on his face.

"Me either." The smile that I had on my face slowly disappeared as I remembered the only woman who made it possible for me to become a father.

I'm worried and for the first time ever I am scared. I have no idea what Nikolai's goal with her is other than just using her as bait.

I would happily give my life up for her if it meant she was free and happy with Leon. If I have to die to save her than so be it.

"Dad, where's Mommy?" Leon asked with a small frown on his face.

What do I tell him?

Come on think Lorenzo, I obviously can't tell him the truth because he would only be worried and scared.

I look at Romeo for some help which he just shrugged his shoulders with a helpless pity look on his face.

"She is uh... on a little trip." He looks at me with tears in his eyes which instantly causes my heart to hurt.

"Mommy never leaves without me."

Shit, I should have thought of a better excuse than that now he feels abandoned.

"No buddy she just left because she wanted us to get some time alone with each other she will be back I promise." He looks at me before he rubs his eyes and lays his head on my shoulder.

"Let's get you two to bed." I say as I see that Ava was already asleep in my arms.

"I'll take her to her bed." Romeo gets up and grabs Ava from my hands as he left.

Instead of taking Leon to his room I brought him to mine and sat him down in my bed. I don't think I can spend a night away from him knowing that Brielle is already gone because of me.

I don't want to take any chances, not now.

Once I make sure that he is comfortable I then head into my bathroom and get into the shower. As I wash my body the only Imagine coming to my mind is Brielle.

I miss her touch, her lips, her voice, laugh. God I just want her back safe and sound. I can't lose her it would destroy me because she is the only woman who ever made me feel capable of being in a romantic relationship while doing what I do for a living.

She is the only woman I want to be with, and by be with I don't mean being fake married. I want to marry her for real and I want to have more children with her because as much as I don't want to admit it...

I love her so fucking much.

And it is driving me in-fucking-sane.
