Lorenzo's POV

A week one whole week and there hasn't been any news on Brielle, I have had my men search all over New York and they haven't been able to find any clues to where she was.

I was only growing more and more frustrated as the days went on. The only thing that is keeping me from going on a murder spree is Leon.

He has been devastated ever since Brielle has been gone. He barely talks to anyone and when he does it's only me and he talks in low whispers. It's as if Brielle was the other half of him and without her he is lost.

I can't say I don't feel the same.

I'm currently in my office trying to find any other solution that would make sense as to where Brielle was but everything I came up with didn't make sense. I'm starting to think he might have taken her out of state.

If that is the case then I don't have enough time or men to search every single state that I can think of. But at the same time I am running out of options.

I can't even think right when I know she could be in trouble right now, I can't think about anything other than her and how to get her back home safe and sound.

I know I was horrible to her and once she gets back it's only right I tell her what happened when I pushed her away three years ago. I'm gonna make it up to her even if it takes the rest of my life to do, because she means that much to me.

While I am going over all the places that my men have raided recently I am interrupted by a confuse looking Samuel.

"What is it?" I asked not looking at him as I go back to my work.

"Don there is someone here from the Cartel." My head lifts up so fast that I almost had whip lash.

"Where are they?"

"We took him down to the cells, he wants to talk to you." I look at him with raised eyebrows.

"What cell number?" I asked as I get up from my desk gathering my things to head down there.

"Four." As I make my way down to the cells I have to take a few breaths to calm me down. I am ready to burn this motherfucker to death if it means I can find Brielle.

As I make my way to his cell all I can hear are painful groans. Once I am infront of the cell I see Mateo and who I am assuming to be the Cartel member.

Mateo was throwing punch after punch at the mans face and stomach. Mateo has definitely been off for a few weeks now and I have no clue what is going on.

I understand he might be going through some things considering all of the flashbacks he must be getting since we are going against two of the mafia's that are the cause of his pain.

"Enough." I say as I enter which makes Mateo look at me before taking a deep breath and he then makes his way to exit the cell but before he could leave I grabbed his arm stopping him.

"Cos'hai?." He shakes his head not looking at me before he takes his arm from out of my grasp and exits the cell.

(What's going on with you)

I will figure that out later.

I slowly make my way over to the Cartel member and look at him examining his wounds.

"Your guy did some nice handy work." He says with a chuckle escaping his mouth before a groan followed after.

"Your lucky I didn't let him do worst." I pull a chair from the corner and set it infront of him and take a seat.

"What the hell gave you the nerve and bravery to come onto my territory?" My jaw flexes as I speak to him waiting for a reply.

"I have a message." I look at him with my eyebrows raised.

"What does Nikolai want now?" I asked with clear distaste for his boss in my voice.

"Not from Nikolai."

"Then who the fuck is it from, stop beating around the god damn bush and just tell me." I am getting sick and tired of these little games these people like to play.

"It's from your wife." My breathing had seem to come to a stop once I heard those words leave his mouth.

Brielle.

I get up from the chair and walk up to him and grab him by the neck.

"DO NOT FUCKING LIE TO ME!" I shout as I feel a slight pain in my chest. The thought that Brielle might have actually sent this man here with a message makes me proud and worried for her.

If she did send him then it won't take long for Nikolai to realized that one of his men had betrayed him, which would then put Brielle in even more trouble than she is already in.

"I-I'm not, look in my jacket's pocket." I let go of him before I make my way to his jacket and once I looked in the pocket I found a note.

Lorenzo

If you got this letter than that means Martin found you and you didn't kill him so thank you for that. I need your help please, I can't stay here any longer. I miss Leon, I miss you. Please don't hurt Martin he is helping me and I want you to try and work with him to bring me home back to our son.

I love you.

Brielle

My breath ends up hitching once I read the last 3 words.

I love you too Bambina, so fucking much.

(Baby)

I fold the letter and put it in my back pocket of my Jean's as I look up at who I now know as Martin.

"Martin?" He lifts his head up to look at me.

"I need you to tell me everything, and I mean everything that you know about Nikolai and whoever he is working with."

I don't actually know if I can trust him but I am willing to take the risk because if Brielle said he is helping her then he knows where they are and that's enough for me.

I'm coming Brielle.
