Brielle's POV
I have been sitting here in bed for I don't even know how long, because I am completely exhausted. Not physically exhausted but mentally.
On the bright side of being a prisoner here I can stay in the room because they don't want me anywhere near their work and I honestly don't care.
A maid has been in here and delivered me breakfast which I haven't touched because that would have required me to get up out of bed and I don't feel like doing that. I have lost count of how many times I have cried between this morning and last night.
I haven't seen or heard from Nikolai or Niko and I don't really mind but at the same time I can't help but think this is my calm before the storm. Even though i'm actually not that calm at all. I don't know if the silence that I am currently experiencing is good or not. For all I know this could be them planning something.
After a few more minutes of just laying in bed I finally got up to head to the bathroom because I needed a shower really bad. Once I am in the bathroom I don't waste any time getting undressed. After my shower I just dry my hair off and throw it up into a messy bun before throwing on a hoodie and sweatpants.
"Took you long enough." I jump at the sound of a voice once I exit the bathroom only to find out that the voice belonged to Niko.
So much for that silence.
"What are you doing in here?" I asked trying my best not to show how much his presence made goosebumps of fear appear on my body.
"Well sweet face, boss wants you to meet him in his office."
"Why?"
"Don't question it." He shrugs his shoulders before he walks towards the bedroom door to open it while he gestures for me to exit. I stand in my spot for a few seconds but when Niko sends a glare my way I then realize I don't really have a choice so I then exit with him following behind me.
We then made our way down a hall that was really long for some damn reason until we reached a door that was at the end of it. Niko knocked twice before Nikolai's voice came through telling us to enter. Once we enter Niko then leaves and closes the door behind him leaving just me and Nikolai in the room.
Well this is just great.
"Please take a seat." Nikolai points to a chair that sat in front of his desk and I then make my way over to it slowly. Just being here in his office made me sick to my stomach. As I sit down I can't help but shift in the chair uncomfortably as Nikolai looks at me. I felt as if his stare was glaring a hole through my head and it was freaking me out. He just kept his stare on me for a few minutes.
"Is there a reason i'm here?" I asked really not caring how rude my voice sounded coming out. he looks at me with narrowed eyes as I try my hardest to keep my straight face to show no signs of weakness.
"Yes there is." He goes into his desk and pulls out a manila folder and passes it to me. I opened it to see pictures of a man and a woman who looked to be in their late 20's or 30's but the pictures were old so they must be older now.
"Those are pictures of my parents." He says which causes me to furrow my eyebrows, but as I look at the man in the photos I can see the resemblance between the two.
"Why are you showing me this?" It makes no sense to me why he would show me pictures of his parents.
"Turn the page." I do as he says and what I see makes me instantly nauseous and disgusted. The next page had photos of dead bodies but more specifically his parents dead bodies. Their heads were chopped off and their bodies were burned.
