7:30-7:55 PM.

That slot was always reserved by Kai almost everyday now. She was surprised at how fast he could book the slot because he would do so only seconds after she opened her classes.

In the past weeks, she could say that she had understood how his mind works and she was able to see his reasoning based on their discussions. Although they never ventured onto personal topics, it felt like she slowly knew a part of him. One lesson at a time.

Ping!

She smiled in front of the camera and greeted Kai. “Hey, Kai. How have you been today?”

“Hello, Teacher. I flew to one of our branches in southern Japan. I just got back to my apartment,” Kaito shared as he loosened his tie.

There was some kind of problem in the southern office and he couldn’t get a hold of the branch manager. Kaito was ready to fire him when there was still no answer from his last call. In the end, he postponed his appointments because he needed to fly there asap.

Fortunately, the problem was resolved but he didn’t fire the branch manager, only suspended him. Unfortunately, most of his work had been pushed back because of his sudden departure.

He removed his suit jacket and neatly hung it as he talked to Feli.

“For a meeting?”

“You could say it’s like an emergency meeting. I was even unsure if I could make it back in Tokyo just in time for our class. But here I am,” he said proudly.

He barely made it in time. But if he wasn’t able to come back to his apartment, he would have taken classes inside his car on the side of the road. Anywhere would be fine.

“You must be tired,” Feli contemplated.

“A little. But I’m totally fine now.”

“Alright. Are you ready to choose our topic today?” She asked. She could hear a little strain from her student’s voice. He must have been really exhausted, she thought.

“Yes, Teacher. Let’s have the ‘Ask me questions category’. Is that okay?”

“Of course. You may spin the wheel.”

After her student clicked the start button, the wheel spun around and ended up with their topic which was 'What is in your bucket list?'

“What’s a bucket list, Teacher?” Her student asked.

“A bucket list is a set of experiences that you aspire to accomplish within your lifetime."

“Like my life goals?”

“Sort of. But a bucket list is a little more about the adventures that you’d like to have. Anyone can decide on their own set of bucket lists. Do you have yours?”

Kaito never thought about it before. His goals were only practical like building an empire of a business, supporting Aya until she graduates from university, have his own family and die.

“I don’t think I understand the bucket list completely. And I’m not sure if I have one. Can you give me examples?”

“Sure. I’ll give my own bucket list as an example. I know I had eight items in the list. Give me a second, I’ll just check,” Feli said.
