She said yes.

Teacher Feli agreed to Kaito's proposal and he was beyond ecstatic. She gave him her full name and decided that Kaito could transfer her compensation through her GCash account, a mobile wallet and e-payment banking service.

"You've only been a student in ENG Pro. for almost four months. It would be a waste not to complete the package that you availed," his secretary voiced his concerns.

"Don't worry. For the remaining two months, you'll have to take English classes in my stead."

"You aren't serious, are you?" Yachiko-san said in disbelief.

"My secretary should be competitive, especially in communication."

"I— Thank you for the prepaid lessons, I guess. Still, why the private lessons?"

"Because I can afford it."

But she couldn't.

He liked talking to her. But he wouldn't ask her to give him her free time. She didn't tell him but he could deduce that she was having trouble working two jobs as it is and helping out in their business. So, she couldn't afford to have someone calling her during her spare hours.

However, he could afford to solve the problem at hand. Literally, afford it!

"Ah. The benefits of being rich. So, what's her name?"

"Felicia Amor D. Montes."

That was her name and it held a lot of possibilities. One of which was Yachiko-san's suggestion.

"So, why don't you do it? Or do you want me to do it?"

"No. And I won't do it."

"You have her name. She must have a Facebook and Instagram account."

"I'm sure she has. She told me in passing but I wouldn't want to stalk her online."

"You are not going to stalk her. You will only send her a friend or follow requests. I created an FB and IG account for you, and for what?" Yachiko-san seemed to be exasperated with him.

"They're mine so I'll do whatever I wish. And right now, I don't want to be connected with her social media accounts."

He didn't want to freak her out. He told himself that he'd tread slowly. And when she was comfortable enough, he'd ask her if he could send her a friend request.

"Why would you think that this is a big deal for her? Come on. Social media connects people," Yachiko-san reasoned.

"I know. But she didn't give me her account details."

She was still cautious. Kaito suggested that they conduct their classes through Facebook messenger because he heard that that application was popular in her country. But she immediately rejected the idea and she suggested that they conduct the lessons through Zoom.

How else was he going to interpret that? It meant she was setting a clear boundary between them. He knew that she considers him a friend, yet a student nonetheless.

Maybe it was a good thing, too. For he would be tempted to stalk her Facebook profile if she had given him the chance to connect with her. He didn't want that. He wanted to extract information directly from her and not some posts and photos.

He wanted to know what she was thinking, what she was feeling. What ticks her off? What calms her down? What keeps her up at night?

"I'm still here, in case you've forgotten and married Teacher Feli off in your daydream," his secretary commented drily.
