Chapter 47

Our lips almost touching, I keep staring into her eyes until she leans in, closing the gap between us. We share a sweet kiss. As I pull apart I lean my forehead against hers, still admiring her beautiful eyes. "I love you." She whispers, "I love you too." I return softly and we lean in again, this time in a longer kiss. We pull apart and I smile at her. I lean my head onto her shoulder while we continue to observe the sunset.

"You're working all day." She complains. "I'm sorry baby." I apologize while signing some contracts. "You can visit me if you want to?" I remind her, "Really?" She asks and I hum, "Of course I'm the boss here." I tease, "I like when you're bossy, it's hot-" she starts but I cut her off, "I'm working." I remind her. "You're no fun." She complains and i laugh at her. "I'll send you the address, I love you." I say softly, "Alright thank you, I love you. Byeee" she replies before hanging up and I go back to work.

After a while of signing papers and reading over the script, I hear a knock on the door. "Come in." I say and the door opens, "Oh hey Ava." I greet my assistant. "What's the sad face for?" She asks, "Nothing." I reply. "Sure whatever you say boss." She replies. "We'll be filming in twenty." She says and i nod. "Is everyone ready?" I ask and she nods, "Yes they're doing their last touch ups." She informs me and I nod. "Aright thank you." I thank her and she nods while flashing me a small smile and leaving my office afterwards.

I stand up and walk to the door, ready to leave my office. As I open the door I bump into someone. "Fuck sorry." I apologize and hear a familiar laugh. "Baby." I say while hugging Billie. "Wow you finally noticed me." She teases and i laugh at her while pulling her in a hug. "Come on, we're shooting some scenes today." I explain while taking her hand and leading her with me. "Hey guys." I greet while walking towards the set. "Wow it looks amazing." Billie says and i nod.

I explain the steps to my cast and we get over the scenes. After that we start recording, we redo some scenes in different angles. I ask Billie's opinion on some things and we discuss about what we can do to make the scene more dramatic. After good two hours of work, we take a small fifteen minutes break.

"Do you want a coffee?" I ask and Billie nods, "Ava." I call out, "Yes Y/n?" She replies. "You can take over the directing while I'm gone." I tell her and she nods with a smile on her face. We make our way outside. "There's a coffee shop right down the street." I say but she stays mute. "You're letting your assistant take over?" She asks after a while and I nod. "Yeah I trust her and besides she went to Yale." I explain and she nods. "Impressive." She whispers and I nod in agreement. I don't know why but I don't like the tension this conversation created so I stay mute for the rest of the walk.

We make our way into the small coffee shop and I order our drinks. "What are you doing tomorrow?" I ask while taking a seat. "I have a meeting." She informs me and i nod, "What meeting?" I ask. "It's actually pretty cool! I'm lip syncing for the Simpsons." She reveals and I smile at her cuteness. "That's so sick." I say while smiling, "You have to FaceTime me tomorrow." I order and she nods while smiling at me. "I gotta meet Lisa." I tease and she laughs at me.

"I have a question." She says, "What's up?" I ask, "What do you think about these shoes?" She asks while holding her phone out. "Those are pretty nice, I'd buy them." I reply and she smiles. "I designed them." She says proudly. "That's cool when are they launching?" I ask, "April 24th." She replies. "Already?" I ask and she nods, "Your fans are gonna love them." I assure her and she nods, "Hopefully." She replies.

We continue to chat for a while. "I'm excited for Coachella" I say and she nods, "It's gonna be fire." She replies and I nod in agreement. "For sure, I'm excited to see Harry." I explain and she nods, "His new song is fire." I continue and she agrees. After a while we start heading back to the set.
