Chapter 56

"I can't believe my little sister has the balls to finally do it." Lis says making us all laugh. "I'm so proud of you." Lis continues making my heart warm. "Me too Y/n, I hope it'll work out for you." Alexa says as she places a soft kiss onto my cheek. "I love you guys." I say while squeezing them. "We love you too." They say in syncs making me smile.

"I can't do it." I mumble under my breath while pacing through the room, my nerves going crazy. "You CAN and you WILL." Lis says confidently as I start trembling and take a deep fucking breath in. She walks up to me and hugs me close. "I hope she won't reject me, I mean it's still a live show." I mumble, making my sister chuckle. "She'd be out of her mind if she'd reject you." My sister says but we get interrupt by a knock on the door.

"You gotta look who's there." I whisper while pushing my sister towards the door, she opens it and only peeks her head out the crack of the door. "Oh Ellen it's you, come inside." My sister says as she opens the door wider so Ellen can enter the room.

"Hello guys." She says while hugging my sister as I stand up to greet her. "So are you nervous?" She asks as we pull apart. "Very much so, I feel like I'm about to run naked through a mall." I say with a nervous laugh making her smile. "Well if it helps I went to say hello to Billie, she's not expecting any of this." She says making me let a sigh of relief out. "That's good." I say in a breathy tone while drying my sweaty palms on my pants off.

"I gotta admit this is the best way to say goodbye to the Ellen Degeneres show." She admits with a smile. "Yeah, I thought so too. I mean I'm gonna miss it but it'll always have a special spot in my heart, especially after tonight." I explain, making her smile at me. "It started all here and it will end here." She says and i nod while shifting nervously on my feet.

"I'm so happy for you and you got this." She continues while placing her hand onto my shoulder, giving it a reassuring squeeze and smile at her. "The show will be starting in a few minutes." A voice announces through the speakers, making my stomach twist with nerves. "I gotta go but I'll see you out there." She says and i nod with a shy smile before she leaves.

After about fifteen minutes there's another knock on my door, I open it and Ellen's assistant smiles at me. "It's time." She says and i nod before we follow her through some hallways towards the stage and she hides me behind the curtain. "It's scary, isn't it?" A familiar dark voice asks behind me and I turn around to smile at the man standing behind me with a huge smile on his face. "Patrick." I say in a breathy tone. "It is, I feel like I've been waiting for this moment all along. I can't imagine being without her anymore." I reveal while blushing lightly as Patrick chuckles.

"I remember clearly the nervousness I felt when I was about to pop the question." He starts making me smile. "I thought carefully about what I was going to say to Maggie but the second I saw her I forgot everything and let my heart speak." He explains softly as my eyes wander around the room. I see Maggie standing there with a small smile observing our interaction. Next to her are Fin along with Claudia standing next to her and they're talking to my sister while observing the screen.

"Thank you for telling me this." I say while turning my attention back to the man standing in front of me and he nods with a smile before pulling me into his arms. "I believe in you Y/n, you're like a daughter to me." He says before kissing the top of my head. "You're gonna make me cry." I mumble against his chest as he chuckles, "Oh you don't wanna ruin your make up now." He teases making me chuckle while pulling apart.
