She didn't know where she was, all she could see was black in every direction. No matter what direction she ran in, she would never find an exit, her footsteps echoing in this plane of existence. She kept running, and running, and running, till she saw a figure standing a couple of feet in front of her. A familiar figure.
"Y-Y/N?" The moment she said that, they responded.
"Why didn't you save me Hu Tao?"
She was taken aback, stopping in her place. "What?"
"Why didn't you save me?" They said again.
"W-What's gotten into you?" She asked, stepping closer.
"What's gotten into me?! You let me die!"
"B-But I didn't!"
"Don't lie to me!" Y/N yelled out, scaring Hu Tao.
"I-I wasn't!"
"Then what was that about?!" Y/N turned to face her. "You were right there! But you didn't save me!"
"I-I tried Y/N..." Tears started to come out of her eyes.
"Tried?! You tried?! That was you trying?!"
"Y-Yes... b-but it wasn't enough..."
Y/N's voice turned into a dead tone. "You're right, it wasn't enough, and now I'm dead because of you."
"W-Why are you talking to me like this? I love you Y/N!"
Y/N looked away from her. "Love? You mean loved. The moment you let me die was the moment the love was gone."
"Guess you didn't love me enough."
"W-What?! What do you mean?"
"If you loved me enough, then you would've tried harder to save me, but you didn't love me enough, and I died because of it."
"Maybe you never did love me at all."
"W-What is that s-supposed to mean?!"
"You were glad I died didn't you?"
"What?! No!"
"Makes sense, a Funeral Director needs to pay the bills somehow, why not let some deaths happen on purpose just for some extra coin?"
"Y/N! That's not true!"
"You played with my feelings, just to get me close to you and you could let me go once I died so you could get some extra mora."
"I would never do that to you Y/N! I love you!"
"Stop saying like it's still a thing Hu Tao."
"But I still do!" Hu Tao fell to her knees. "I'm your Walnut!"
Y/N turned to face her. "Not anymore, all Walnuts need to get broken down eventually, good thing it's happening to you."
"Y-Y/N... p-please... stop t-talking like t-this..."
"Do you know how painful it was Hu Tao? Landing in the ocean and getting knocked unconscious? Having my lungs be filled with water? Being too exhausted to do anything? Do you know how painful that was?"
Hu Tao saw that Y/N's clothes somehow became drenched in water. "N-No, I don't..."
"Guess you're about to feel it." Y/N started to walk up to Hu Tao.
