Chapter 28 Performing

It was morning once more, Freddy woke up with his head resting on his partner's chest, before he slowly got put the bed moving outside and going to the kitchen, where they previously had put the food inside. When he got there Gregory stood there, eating his cereal.

Freddy: Good morning.

Gregory: Morning...- he added before ignoring his dad and moving over to the living room, Freddy staying where he were before beginning to eat.

Monty woke up not much after Freddy, carefully escaping from the smaller's embrace, letting him keep sleeping for a few more minutes. After Monty got dressed he made his way outside the room, pinching his brows has he thought.

Get out! Get out! Get out! Fuck... I can't stand this thoughts... It's to early to self harm I really shouldn't be doing this... ARGH IM NOT DOING IT STOP IT!!

That's when suddenly he got to the living room, someone pulling him out of his thoughts

Gregory: Hey Monty.

Monty: Hi there?- he asked has they moved their hand away from their face, now seeing the teen seating on the couch.

Gregory: Can I ask you something?

Monty: I mean, sure...

Gregory: Is Freddy dating anyone?- the taller's eyes widened before seating beside the child.

Monty: He told me not to tell you anything about it.

Gregory: Oh c'mon, I don't need to know who, just tell me if he is or not.

"Build thrust with him.."

Where the thoughts echoing in the older's brain, they sighed before speaking.

Monty: Alright, he's dating, but if he asks you, it wasn't me.

Gregory: Sure, no one told me... You know why won't he tell me more? Why he keeps me in the dark?

Monty: I mean, I think he wants to be sure it will be the right time to for you to meet them...

Gregory: Then why does he keep me in the dark about everything else? I've heard you talk to him... How he was starving himself because me... Why doesn't he tell me about anything? I'm old enough to know.

Monty: He wants to protect you from reality... You're a teen, you shouldn't have to worry about this stuff... Believe me, being homeless, especially in your situation, is more complex then it seems and Freddy by covering things up is just trying to get you some stability.

Gregory: You know how's like knowing that, at my age?

Monty: Of course... And I know how hard it's to grow up in the streets, with out your dad, with out adults to support you. It's better if you don't know some things... Ignorance is bliss sometimes...

Gregory: I guess you've got a point.... Thanks for listening to me... I can't really talk about this with Freddy or Chica... They don't understand how it is.

Monty: Well, I do and if you ever need to talk I'm here for you. We gotta speak about things that bother us otherwise... We do things we'll regret. Specially at your age.

Gregory: You got a point...

Monty: Since this conversation is over, I'mma eat, I'm STARVING.- they said getting up and moving over to the kitchen and grabbing something to eat.

It was show time, they were performing a nearby venue and Gregory really didn't want to come with them, so he stayed home.

Monty: You're fucking kidding me?!- they asked smiling seeing the place they were going to preform at.

Roxy: You know this place?

Monty: IF I KNOW?! My dad used to stop by here on trips all the time! You know this is owned by a Portuguese man right?! Most of the people here speak it to!!

Freddy: You know how to speak Portuguese?

Monty: Well duh, my dad is from Angola, we speak a lot of Portuguese in my house... Well used to.- he added a bit sad.

Bonnie: Then welcome home dude.- he said putting a hand on the other's shoulder, then smiling before going inside.

Monty: God this place hasn't changed a bit.

Woman: You're the ones who are going perform right?! Back stage is ther- Holy shit Monty is that you?!- the blonde women asked looking at the alligator.

Monty: Maria? You're running this place now?!

Maria: Of course, my old man is to old for this stuff, although he's here, let me get him, he'll love seeing you here.- she said before going through a door next to the conter.

Roxy: How many times did you travel with your family?

Monty: Way to many, good memories...- the woman came back from outside with an elderly chubby man, who adjusted his glasses when he saw the other- If it ain't Pedro, dam you aged like milk.- he said playfully, chuckling has he did so.

Pedro: Not has bad has you, you look like hell kid.- he added also chuckling- How's the family? I haven't seen your dad in ages.- the alligator's smile disappeared.

Monty: Oh that... I haven't spoken with them in forever.

Pedro: What happened?

Monty: I ran away from home like 14 years ago, I haven't really reconnected with them again.

Pedro: It was cuz of the drugs weren't it?

Monty: You knew I was high?

Pedro: I was a bartender for 35 year's, I know when someone's drunk and or high... You clean now right?

Monty: Yeah, it's not for a long time but yeah.

Pedro: Good, now go on, you all have to perform in a bit.

Show went mainly well, they all stood on the stage, Freddy quickly downing a water bottle, when someone in the crowd suddenly began to ask for a song.

Person: Could you play Robocop Gay by Mamonas assassinas?!

Freddy: I'm sorry, I don't know the song you're speaking off.- he replied into the mic.

Monty: Oh I do!

Pedro: If you play it I'll tip.- the bear let his boyfriend move over to the mic.

Monty: We don't got all the instruments tho.

Pedro: I'll put the karaoke soundtrack.

Bonnie: I can play it tho, let me join you Monty.- he said moving to next to microphone, with his guitar already in hand, the taller's eyes lighting up.

Monty: Holy shit dude you know?!?

Bonnie: My parents are Brazilian, you think I don't know this song?

Monty: I- puta que pariu.(holy shit)-they let out, when finally the song started playing both of them doing a hell of a show.
