Karsen POV
I'm so glad I got Chase to break down and tell me about that damn box. Although I'm surprised that I've never heard about the box from my parents before. I guess the secrets just spread around all over town. But why did it have to be with the people in my family?
I had to come up with a plan to find the box, you know incase it wasn't still at the torn down house. I couldn't believe that Chase would just leave it there. If he knew how important it was, he would've brought it with him when we came to my parents house. Now that I know what this box means, I am curious to find out where it is.
'Meet in the living room.' I called in the pack link. My parents went out on an old people date, so that gave me and the pack some time to ourselves.
Once everybody was in the living room, I told them how we would operate on the plan that I came up with over night. And if my plan wasn't as good as I thought, we always have Alpha Chase to catch me when I fall.
"Good morning everybody." I said trying to be generous.
"Yeah. Good morning." Everybody said tired, trying to keep their heads up.
"Ok so, as we all know, Chase has lost the box. I'm sure you've known about it, but I just learned about it yesterday. I have a plan to get it back." I said with a big smile planted on my face.
"And why do we need this box exactly?" Sam asked.
"Because, Chase and I want to find out who can light the box up and reveal the message." I said.
"And how are you going to do that?" Sam asked sluggishly.
"Well first, we can check everybody in our pack. Then we can hold a big meeting with all of the werewolves over town. It won't be hard." I said.
"Ok. But what is your plan?" Sam asked.
"First we go back to the house and check to see if it's still buried underneath anything. Then if it's not there, we track down that guy that kidnapped me and threaten him to see if he has it."
"And what if he doesn't have the box?"
"Sam, do you have to ask so many questions?" I asked.
"No no, let him ask the questions." Chase cut in.
"So like I was saying, what if he doesn't have the box?" Sam repeated.
"Well then..." I tried to continue, but I was being interrupted by Chase once again.
"Oh I remember. The box has some type of tracking device in it. I can find the code and find where it is." Chase said.
"Oh great, so just forget everything that I said then." I said disappointed. I really wanted my plan to activate.
"Oh I'm sorry Karsen, we can still go with your plan. If you want." Chase said.
"No, that's stupid, if you have the code to the tracking device, then it doesn't make sense to go look where we think it might be and waist time." I said huffing and puffing.
"Yeah, I was hoping that you said that instead of going with your plan." Chase said. "I think that I left the code in my wallet. Let me go check."
Chase went to my room and opened one of the drawers to my dresser. He shifted all of his clothes over and didn't find it in that drawer. So he opened the other one below it. After looking for like a minute to make sure he didn't miss it, he finally held it up in his hand and came back to the living room.
"Karsen, do you have a computer?" Chase asked.
"Yeah come this way." I said.
Everybody followed me into the office upstairs. Some people had to stand outside the door because there wasn't enough room for all of them. I logged onto the computer and Chase sat down and went to the Internet.
"I need to download a program so that I can track the box. Is that ok with you?" Chase asked me.
"Yes, let's go." I rushed him.
"Ok."
It took about five minutes before Chase could download the program. I was anxious to find out where this box was. It was kind of exciting to know that I could be the one who finds who is in control of the werewolves. I would be famous for that. I can see my name right now on all of the billboards and I'll be starring in a movie. Chase snapped me out of my daze when he tapped my wrist.
"Now all I have to do is type the code..." Chase said. "And done. The box is all the way in Texas. It says that it's near the NRG Arena."
"What?! How did it get that far?" I yelled.
"I don't know. The man who kidnapped you must have taken it, and had somebody plant it over there. But we need to get over there, and now." Chase said.
"Ok let me leave a note for my parents. I really am going to miss them on this journey. But werewolves have to do what they have to do." I said.
'We leave in thirty minutes.' Chase called through the pack link.
'Why in thirty minutes?' I asked.
'Because I want to take me a little nap before we head out.' Chase said yawning.
'Ok, whatever.' I said.
I followed the rest of the pack out of the office. Chase just slept in the couch in the office. I was excited that we were traveling far away from home. And by foot. I've never been to Texas. I've always heard of Texas and what great things they have there for tourists and just people who live there.
"Karsen," Sam started. "When we find this box, don't be surprised about who is in charge of all werewolves, ok?"
"O...k..." I said confused. "Why are you telling me this?"
"Just promise me that you won't freak out."
"Ok... I promise." I said.
