I woke up to the sun shining a little bit off of the cars in the parking lot. We were on the second floor of the hotel, so we could see the cars parked. I wanted something a little bit more satisfying, but I was ok with it. I could see the trees blowing slightly in the wind. Making me want to go out and enjoy the great outdoors.
And I could.
Today is the day that I meet with all werewolves about the master. I came up with a plan to have my pack help with the drawing of the blood. I told them all to get needles to poke the wolves skin, then they will walk up and drop the blood in the box.
I thought that it would make the process so much quicker. I knew that my pack would be ok with it because I'm their Luna. I would do anything for them, and they would do anything for me.
The whole pack and I went down to the park, ready to get this mission over with. I could feel the adrenaline rushing in my body. I couldn't wait to find the master, and hopefully be best friends with them. I know that seems kind of weird, but who cares?
Chase had packed the box in the back of the car and we all traveled down to the park. It was nice to finally see the roads of Atlanta again. After defeating that guy and his crew in Texas, I was feeling home sick.
"Are you ready Karsen?" Chase asked me.
"Yeah, and there's nothing I should really be afraid of. Wait yes there is. What if I don't find the Master?" I said shaking his free arm, making sure he didn't wreck the car.
"Relax babe. You'll find the master. And they might be closer than you even thought." He said.
I hope Chase is right about this person being closer than I thought. I need to find the master so I can relax. If I don't, I'll be forever stressed and then I might never want to find the master again. So this needs to happen. Right now, today.
The park wasn't that far from the hotel we were staying in. Which was great, gives me more time to find this Master. I know that whoever gets to me the Master would definitely elated. I have yet to know everything about what being the Master takes. But I know it would be great.
When we pulled up to the park, I could see lots and lots of werewolves standing outside, almost taking up the whole park. I knew this would be a day's work project. It's like every time I try to find something out, my heart sinks because something else bad is always popping up.
'Alright pack, start finding the Master.' Chase called in the link. 'Karsen and I will be stationed at the front table to collect the blood that you get. Hurry and don't mess this up.'
'Yes Alpha.' Everybody said in the link.
I held the box close to my chest. It was precious to me. I didn't want it to drop to the floor and shatter into little pieces. It's little gold rhinestones were so adorable.
I placed the box gently on the wooden table and stood around it to make sure nobody was trying to knock it down.
"Karsen!" Chase yelled at me, throwing me off of my protective mode.
"What?!" I yelled back.
"Wait, I know you didn't just yell at me." Chase said moving closer to me with a frown on his face.
"No, I'm sorry Chase. I'm just frustrated." I said leaning into his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and I could feel his chin lay on the top of my head.
"Karsen, I hate to see you this way. You need to relax. And what did I tell you?"
"If I ever need anything, then come tell you." I said. I loved that Chase was so caring and protective over me.
"That's right Karsen." Chase said leaving a small kiss on my forehead. "Now let's got find this master, shall we?"
Chase was right, once again. He always seemed to know how to calm me down, and love me. Chase was something that I needed to live. Without him, I don't know where I would be.
*********
After a long day of working, checking to see if we could find the Master, NOTHING worked in my favor. I still didn't find who the master is. I give up. I'm not doing it anymore. It wasn't likely for me to fail anything, I never have. Well, except for that time I got kidnapped, but that was it.
"I want to go back to the hotel." I told Chase.
"Ok, let's go." He said wrapping his hand around my waist.
'Let's head out.' Chase called in the link.
Soon all of our pack was heading towards the front, jumping in cars and turning on the engines. I felt bad for making them come all the way out here for nothing. I've waisted their day. They could've been doing something fun. But instead, I ruined it by being them out here.
"You ok?" Chase asked when we got back to the hotel.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just disappointed in myself. I tried really hard." I said.
"Now you know why I stopped looking. But it's ok. Maybe it's better to not know who the Master is." Chase said.
"Yeah maybe you're right." I said trying to hold back some tears. I shouldn't be crying, I guess they're just tears from being so stressed.
Well it's time to just going back to being normal werewolves and living within our packs.
