'Quick! Karsen's at the hospital, we have to go see her.' I called in the link. Gasps and whines could be heard through the link. I wish that nobody would've done that. It made me want to cry, but I had to stay strong for my pack, for Karsen.
I didn't even worry about waiting for the pack to get into their cars. I took off as soon as possible. The quickest way would be to shift and run, I don't know why the others didn't do the same. This time when I shifted, it hurt. It was because I wasn't strong enough emotionally to shift.
People and more people were all crowded around in the hospital. It would've been easier to take Karsen to the pack hospital, but I guess it was closer to Karsen's destination. I ran up to the receptionist desk and asked to see what room Karsen was in.
"Tell me where Karsen Grigio is." I told the lady.
"Um excuse me?" The lady said. I really didn't have anytime to play with this girl. She doesn't know that I would rip her head right off her body. "There's a line, so get in it."
I let out a deep growl and I'm sure my eyes turned black because it was hard to keep my wolf from surfacing.
"Tell me where she is, now." My voice was different. It sounded controlling and deep. My nails grew longer and I showed her my fangs coming from out of my mouth.
"Uh ok ok, she's down the hall." The woman said, her voice all shaky.
"Thank you." I said as I let my human surface back again. I ran down the hall to see an open door. I saw a body lying there motionless. I couldn't bear the sight of Karsen just laying there with no life in her.
I walked and closed the door. Every move I made closer to Karsen, I wanted to break down. I wanted to take her spot, let her live and I die. I'm nothing without her.
I leaned down on top of her and rested my head in the crook of her neck. I didn't hear her heartbeat. Tears began to roll down my face. Soon, I heard running feet down the hall. The door swung open and I turned around.
Sam walked in and gasped and a sad look came on his face. He walked over and looked down at Karsen. I could tell that he was missing her. Nobody ever wants their Luna to die. It kills them to see their Luna hurt. And I had twice the pain. Not only was she my Luna, she was also my mate.
"I'm sorry man." Sam said. Then the rest of the pack walked in through the door looking the same way Sam did when he walked in. My tears dropped down onto Karsen's cheeks. I wiped them off. Then I noticed something.
The light.
"Doctor! Doctor, come here something's happening." I yelled. Soon the doctor ran in and came straight towards us. Sam and I moved back, but not too far so we could see what's happening.
"What's going on?" I asked scared.
"I don't know. I've never seen anything like this." The doctor said. "Let's just wait and see what happens."
The light grew from her chest up to her face. Slowly, the golden light filled her whole body, shining the room with its glow. I covered my face with my hands to keep from going blind.
The heart monitor started to beep again. I was shocked. I thought that once you're gone, you're gone. But that wasn't true. Not if you're the Master of all werewolves. Karsen's heart rate started to speed up. I couldn't believe it, actually I could. I knew Karsen was the Master all along.
"Karsen, I'm so glad you're back." I said running up to her, pushing the doctor out of the way.
"Glad I'm back?" Karsen said confused. "What you mean? What happened?"
"You got into a bad car accident. Somebody in the road called 911." The doctor said.
"And the whole pack, I'm mean family came to see you." Sam said smiling.
"Oh, well let's get out of here." Karsen said trying to sit up in the bed.
"Wait a minute." I said slowing her down. "You need to know something real quick."
"What?" Karsen said.
"Just a few minutes ago, you were dead." I said.
"Um hello, if I'm alive now, then I wasn't dead." Karsen said.
"Then why wasn't the heart monitor beeping?"
"Um, I don't know. But it doesn't make sense. The machine must be broken then. Because I'm alive." Karsen said giving me a dumb look.
"Karsen, you came back. You were dead then you came back. And you want to know why?" I said.
"Yeah, explain to me why because I'm not understanding." She said.
"When you were dead, a golden light started coming from your body. We didn't know what was going on, so I called the doctor who also had never seen anything like it before. We stood and watched. Soon the machine started beeping again and there you were. Alive." I explained everything to her.
"Impossible." Karsen said.
"Karsen, would I ever lie to you?"
She thought for a moment, trying to remember if I had ever lied before. Which I know I haven't. Then she said...
"Then I guess your right. So what does that mean?" She asked, still confused.
"It means, you're the Master."
