The Alpha and Queen

Chapter 23

Waking up, I felt different. I felt like a bigger person. And not bigger as in a bigger body, but a bigger ego. My wolf also seemed different. She was still sitting at the back of my head, but she was eager to get out. She wanted to show everybody that she is the Master. The one everybody will look to.

Chase must have gone down to his office earlier because he wasn't in the room. I still had on my robe and nothing on underneath. I felt that Chase was right all along. I did need some pleasure. Maybe it was a good time, no maybe not. It's too early and he's probably busy.

Instead I just went to take a shower and grabbed some clothes. I wore my favorite black Pink hoodie, some jeans and some comfortable house shoes. I wasn't planning on going anywhere today, so I dressed comfy.

Banging on the wall could be heard down the hall. At first I thought about ignoring it. But last time I ignored the sound of something, I got kidnapped and sent to some strange building.

I ran down the hall and Chase's office door was open. I could see that he was banging on the wall looking pissed about something. I gave him time to cool down before I walked in. Usually he could get a little dangerous and can't control hisself.

After he cooled down a little, I walked in and he looked up and the look of anger and disgust left his face. I was almost scared to walk in. He had punched a hole in the wall. I ran to give him a hug.

I hugged him and he squeezed me tighter. He led me down to the floor and sat me in his lap. He rested his chin on top of my head and rubbed my back. I loved these moments that we shared together.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Baby, don't worry about it." Chase said leaning back on my head.

"Why can't you tell me?" I asked moving from under his chin. I looked him right into his eyes.

"Karsen, everything's ok. I'm just having a little trouble with some work, that's all." Chase said looking in my eyes the whole time.

"Ok. Then let me help." I said smiling.

"No, no. I got it. You know I just get mad sometimes."

I knew that there was something more than what Chase was telling me. He wouldn't punch a hole in the wall over nothing. I just decided to stop asking about it because I knew he wasn't going to tell me.

"Well, ok." I said. "I guess I'll see you later."

"Where you going?"

"To watch some movies."

"Ok, love you." Chase said.

"Love you too." I said kissing him on the lips.

Chase POV

I wasn't just mad over nothing. I told Karsen that I would plan her party. And that's exactly what I'm going to do. I got up early to start planning. I wanted something special for Karsen, something that she'll never forget.

I intended to get Karsen the things that she loves so much. A chocolate fountain, jewelry, and some new shoes. I wanted to make her feel special and happy. She should be, it's her day that's coming up. But everyday should be her day because she is the Master.

The reason why I punched a hole in the wall was because work with the pack was just hectic. It was a pain in my ass. The pack just won't cooperate with me to get this party done. But I do understand, there has been a lot going on and they just want relax. They can relax after the party.

'Did you eat breakfast?' I asked Karsen in the link.

'No, not yet.'

'What do you want?' In the mornings I usually cooked us both breakfast.

'Um, can you just hear me up two of those breakfast biscuits?' She asked sounding like she was still tired and wanted to go back to sleep.

'Sure thing baby.' It was in my nature to take care of Karsen. Even if I was mad at her, I would always fall short and please and comfort her.

While cooking, I thought about the things that would come with being the Master. Karsen must love it. It was unusual to have a girl as the leader. But I'm proud of my baby. She is going to be a great leader, and one day and wife and mother.

I walked down to the home theater that we have. I saw Karsen sitting in the last row. I brought her the breakfast biscuits and placed her orange juice in the cup holder. Instead of leaving, I stayed with her and watched the movie that I've seen a million times, Hancock.

"Why you always watch the same movies?" I asked Karsen.

"Shhh! Do you not see me watching the movie?" She said.

"We'll see you later baby, I'm going to do some work." I have her a kiss on the check and left, her focus still on the movie.

I sat back at my desk and started doing work on the computer. The more I work, the more I get done. And then I can relax and enjoy the party tomorrow evening.
