Chapter 20

Karsen POV

Two months later.

We canceled our stay at the hotel, and moved into our new house. It's been a pain in all of our asses, I can surely say. But it's great to be back in a house where we can have privacy and all have fun together.

Even though we now have this house, I'm still focused on getting this Master found. I've been doing some thinking. None of the other werewolves could make the box light up. And there was only two options left.

My parents.

I don't know why I didn't go to them in the first place. I had to hurry up and rush to their house. I was determined to find this master, and I know I will. Like my mom said, I should call before I go over there. I couldn't wait to know that one of my parents could be the Master. Then I would be the princess and I'd be treated so great fully.

"Hi mom." I said once the phone stopped ringing. "Can I come over?"

"Ok, sure baby. Is everything all right?" My mom said.

"Yes, I just wanted to visit you. That's all."

"Oh, ok. Your father and I will be here waiting."

"Ok see you soon." I said hanging up the phone. I jumped because Chase was standing right behind me when I hung up the phone. I didn't even hear him come in.

"Where do you think you are going?" Chase asked raising his eyebrow.

"I'm going to my parents house, if that's ok with you." I said pretending that I needed Chase's ok to do something.

"Oh. Why?" Chase asked leaning on the wall.

"Does that matter?"

"No, but if it doesn't matter, then you can tell me where you're going." I hated when Chase was right. Sometimes he just needed to shut the fuck up.

"Fine... I'm going to see if they're the master or not." I finally gave in.

"Karsen, I thought you were done with that. You just need to come upstairs with me and relax." Chase pleaded. I know he really wants to take me, but I can't. I want to find the master, then as a reward, have sex.

"Chase, please. Let me do this." I said rubbing on his chest.

He stared me straight into my eyes. I knew he was thinking about letting me go or not. He lived to protect me, think of any possible way to keep me safe. But I need to do this, for myself.

"Fine." Chase finally said. "Don't get into any trouble. Be smart."

"Ok, thank you." I said. I kissed him on the lips and squeezed his butt cheeks. I heard a little growl come from his chest.

"Go get em' tiger." Chase laughed and slapped my butt.

I laughed and smiled. I grabbed the box and headed out the door. I was confident that either of my parents was the Master. I was so excited for them. I wonder why they haven't known for almost fifty years.

I pulled up in their driveway and walked out. I knocked on the door and waited. My dad came to the door and drew a enormous smile on his face.

"Karsen!" My dad yelled.

"Daddy!" I said jumping into his hug. "I haven't seen you in forever."

"I know, where you been?" He asked.

"Oh you know, taking care of the pack."

"Oh I feel you. What's that in your hand? Is that the box?"

"Yes, that's why I came over here. I wanted to check you two."

"Ok, well come in baby girl."

I walked in the living room and sat down on the couch. I waited for my mom to come out and sit with us. When she walked in, she had a surprised look on her face. She had known about the box, but maybe she didn't want to be tested.

"Ok, who wants to go first?" I asked looking side to side at my parents.

"I'll go." My dad said.

I took the needle and placed it gently into his arm. The blood traveled up the needle and into the box. The last drop of blood fell into the box, and nothing happened. That means there's only one option left.

My mom.

I turned to her and cleaned the needle. I looked at her to get the ok to place the needle in her arm. She looked away, I forgot that she didn't like to get needles stuck into her body.

This was my only hope. If my mom couldn't light the box up, this was it. It meant that nobody could be the Master, and that I failed the mission. I don't know what I would do if my mom wasn't it.

The blood was being drawn. The last drop fell down into the box.

NOTHING! Nothing fucking happened. What the fuck?! How could this be?! I don't understand any of this. I have to get out of here.

"Um, I'll see you guys later." I said walking out the front door. I was so pissed. I wasn't focused on driving and I ran up the curb and crashed into the corner store.

Chase POV

I was playing my video games and got up to use the restroom. I heard my phone ringing and saw that it said that the call was from the hospital. I answered the phone, my heart sinking afraid of what happened.

"Excuse me sir, do you know Karsen?"

What was going on? It felt like my body started to spin, I told Karsen to be smart and stay out of trouble.

"Yes, I do." I said nervously.

"Well she has been in a car accident."

"What?! I'll be right th-" I then noticed that I was being cut off.

"Sir... She didn't make it." The doctor said.

"No, no no no no no. You have to be kidding right? I'm still coming over there, and you better keep her alive." I said trying to catch my breath.
