Chapter 18 : Mission complet

"Anyway, will we finally revive the person i want to or not?" asked Dazai and she turned her head toward him.

"What is the person's name?" she asked.

"Oda Sakunosuke"

"All right, so-" the girl started but got interrupted by Liam.

"Hold on! There is no "all right"! There is nothing right right now!" He yelled angrily then turned to toward Dazai completely confused.

"Dazai explains!" he yelled, grabbing his collar. He looked at the brunet with a hateful expression but he also looked really sad and betrayed but Dazai only looked at him with annoyance.

"Liam let go. Why are you making such a scene?"  she asked in a very calm  voice.

"Why? Because he wasn't supposed to ask for him! He was supposed to revive Chu-"

"What do you know who he wants to revive or not?"  she asked and Liam looked at her confused.

"B-Because he told me..." He said with a shaking voice.

"Liam... From what i see your trying to impose him who he should bring back. So it isn't what he wants but what you want. You were the one who come to me with him and asked me to help him so why are you getting so angry now that the name he said wasnt the one you wanted?" said the girl and Liam's eyes widened, he was at a loose of words. After all she was right, he should have planed that this bastard would trick him. Liam tightens his grip on Dazai's collar, lowered his head then released him and left without looking at him.

"Thank you for defending me miss, i really thought he would kill me with that deadly stare" said Dazai with a smile as he put back in place his collar.

"Shut up, i wasn't defending you. You bastard... taking advantage of his kindness... I swear if you hurt him again i'll kill you myself..." she said with annoyance.

"Alright alright whatever... so are we starting? How does it even work? Do we have to draw the weird star with blood and put things that belonged to him on it?" he asked really excited to see his friend again.

"Do you want to make an incantation? I'm not a witch you know..." She said with a sigh.

"Actually, you have to go to the afterlife and find him among the other souls and then convince him to come back with you" explained the young girl.

"Afterlife huh? You believe in that thing?" he asked teasingly and she looked away.

"When you die your dead, there is nothing after the end of one's life. I believe that people invented all that stuff like réincarnation because they are scared of death. They are afraid when something come to an end to they decide to believe that there is no end and that we continue living somewhere after death... It makes it less scary of dying... But its how his ability works so lets call it the afterlife..." she replied and Dazai was kinda surprised by her answer.

"Anyway, you can't go there alone, and im not coming with you either so go find Liam to ask him to accompany you" she said with a smile and Dazai looked at her betrayed.

"You- Huh..." he didn't said anything more and went to the direction that Liam took while leaving hoping he didnt went too far. Luckily for him Liam was sitting on a bench not too far away looking at the sky. Dazai hesitated for a moment but then sat next to him.

"Dazai im sorry" "Liam im sorry" they said at the same time. Both looked at each other surprised.

"What are you sorry for?" asked Dazai confused and surprised.
