The Girl Next Door

Chapter 7

Asher's pov:

Today I went to school and everything was all good. I hung out with Lucas and met some of his friends, I remember one name in particular, Ivy I think it was. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. I also found out that Lucas and his group of friends were the "rebels" of the school.

Ivy and I got along pretty well if I'm being honest. She seemed quiet at first so I thought she was a quiet person but oh boy was I wrong. She is the most chaotic one of the group, next to Lucas of course.

I invited Lucas and Ivy to my place after school and they both agreed to coming. I told my mom and she was fine with it.

"Dude you made it!" I told them as I opened the door "Surprised you didn't pick the lock this time Lucas."

"He what-" Ivy asked

"Yeah, Lucas wanna tell her what happened?" I said as I looked over to Lucas

"What I didn't do anything, all I did was come over INVITED and picked the lock because you wouldn't answer the damn door."

"YOU NEVER EVEN KNOCKED!" I told Lucas and at this point Ivy was laughing and enjoying our bickering.

A few minutes later I heard a knock at the door and I wasn't expecting anyone. I went to check the door and Dove was just standing there.

"Hey Dove,"

"Hey curly, so um I was thinking," Dove continued as she avoided making eye contact "would you like want to hangout sometime, you know as friends"

"AY WHO'S AT THE DOOR." I heard Lucas yell from across the room as he came near me "Ohhh Dove, good to see you."

"Oh you have Lucas over?" Dove asked

"Yeah Ivy's here too." Lucas said "If you want you can come in."

"Sure, if that's okay with you." Dove asked

"Yeah it's fine, come in."

"Asher, come to the kitchen and help me make snacks" Lucas said as he motioned me towards the kitchen

"Okay coming, also this is my house I should be the one saying that to you." I heard Ivy and Dove laugh

"Okay what is it?" I asked Lucas when I made it to the kitchen

"This is your chance." Lucas said almost eager

"Huh?" I was so confused

"This is your chance to make a move on Dove."

"The hell are you on, I have a boyfriend."

"Well he won't know." Lucas tried to convince me

"Somehow he will, okay."

"Come on."

"I have to break up with him first so let me call him."

"Okay, you sure?" Lucas seemed worried

"Yeah,"

*ring ring*

"Hey Asher,"

"Oh um Brody, I have to tell you something," I was so damn worried it was crazy

"What is it?"

"I'm breaking up with you." Woah did I really just say that. I felt so free though

"YOU ARE WHAT, NO YOU CAN'T BREAK UP WITH ME! You know what fine, I was cheating on you anyways"

"Okay sorry bye."

"Is it over?" Lucas asked, he had been plugging his ears the whole time.

"Yeah and he said he was cheating on me the whole time."

"That bastard." Lucas seemed so mad

When Lucas and I went back to the living room we completely forgot about the getting snacks thing so we just said we couldn't find anything. Ivy was talking about a girl she liked but I'm not sure because I was just staring at Dove's beautiful pink lips. I really wish I could kiss her but I couldn't. Later my mom came home and I asked her if Ivy, Lucas and Dove could stay the night, if their parents let them of course. It was a Friday night so why wouldn't they stay. Lucas, Ivy and Dove called their parents once my mom allowed them to stay, but they had to stay in my room which was fine by me.

"YES I CAN STAY!" I heard Lucas scream from outside, he went outside to make the phone call

"ME TOO!" I heard Ivy say

"Dove? Can you?" I asked

"YEP!" OH MY GOD DOVE COULD SLEEP OVER WHAT THE HELL.
