Chapter 10

Dove's pov:

That morning when I woke up I realized I fell asleep on top of Asher's chest and not going to lie it was extremely comfortable. Everyone was asleep when I woke up. I got up to go check the time and it was 6 a.m. Why had I gotten up so early on a Saturday? I went downstairs to see if anyone else was awake. No one else was awake so I decided to text River, maybe she was awake. Nope.

I spent about an hour in the living room until I heard footsteps, it was Avery. We started having a little bit of conversation. She shared some of Asher's embarrassing moments, which I can't wait to rub it in later and she was overall a really nice person.

"Well I got to go to work, nice meeting you-"

"Dove Starling."

"Nice meeting you Dove," And she was out the door

At this point it was 10 a.m. and none of them would wake up so I made it my job to wake them up. I ran upstairs and started waking Asher up but he wouldn't get up, he kept mumbling 'five more minutes'.

"Curly wake up, I've been awake for 4 hours and so bored the only thing I did this whole time is have a little bit of conversation with your sister."

"Babe- I mean Dove, wake the others up first then come wake me up." DID HE JUST CALL ME BABE

"Okay fine but you better wake up when I wake you up."

"Yeah yeah,"

I successfully woke Ivy up then she helped me wake Lucas up which was pretty easy but Asher still wouldn't wake up. We all decided to let the guy sleep in while we went downstairs and ate breakfast.

"Hey guys I'm going to go and check on Asher and try to wake him up again you guys stay here." I wanted to go see if Asher was awake. He had been sleeping for so long, and I'm pretty sure I gave him way more than 5 minutes.

"Curly wake up Ivy and Lucas woke up a long time ago and we're all waiting for you downstairs."

"Okay fine."

"Wow, that was a lot easier than I thought it would be."

"Trust me if it was anyone else it would have been harder."

"And what's so special about me?"

"You're Dove, that's what's special."

I can already feel my heart racing and I think I was blushing but I was hoping it wasn't too obvious. We cleaned up the bedroom together and went down to see the others. I also asked if I could invite my sister and Asher was fine with it. I couldn't wait to tell her everything that had just happened.

Asher's pov:

This morning I accidentally called Dove babe and I don't know how to feel about it. I feel like I kind of scared her. I mean I probably ruined our whole friendship, everything we had. I probably wouldn't have a chance with her anyway. Why would she like me? I mean no one would love me. Brody made that pretty clear to me. Dove was so sweet, caring, adorable and just perfect over all, I can't see why she would date me.

Dove asked if her sister could come over and I mean I was fine with it so she came over and started hanging out with us. I couldn't pay attention to what she was saying though, I was just staring at Dove. How she sat was adorable. He would do a cute thing with his feet. I chose to get up and tell Lucas to come with me to find something in my room so I could talk to him.

"Uh dude, what do you need help finding?" I couldn't believe he actually thought I needed help finding something

"Nothing, needed an excuse for us to talk."

"Alright what is it?"

"I want to make a move on Dove but I'm not sure how and since you and her are friends you could help me." I explained to him

"OH REALLY YES YES YES!" Lucas seemed a bit too excited

"Calm down." If he was any louder he woulda made everyone worried

"Alright sure, so what were you thinking?"

"Maybe getting her alone under the stars, what do you think?" I felt like that was a romantic approach

"Sounds good, but when."

"I could ask her to hangout."

"Alright tell me how it goes, and by the way I'm pretty sure Dove likes you too."

Dove pov:

Am I the only one who finds it weird how Asher always asks Lucas for help, not Ivy or me. I'm not jealous. Are they dating or something? I thought but then I remembered Lucas was straight. What could they possibly be doing?

"River, I'm telling you somethings not right."

"Dove, Asher and Lucas are best friends so obviously he would ask Lucas to help with everything, You and him aren't close and it would be awkward, same with Ivy."

"I guess you have a point." Asher was making me sound crazy, the emotions that boy makes me feel.
