Chapter 12

Dove's pov:

Asher asked me out on a DATE. It finally happened. Asher asked me, Dove Starling, on a date. I still couldn't believe it. He did say he had nothing planned so I'm kinda excited to see what he's going to do at the last minute.

Later on Asher told River he wanted to talk which confused me. They literally don't talk so I was waiting for River and Asher to finish talking so I could ask her what he said. I'm a nosy person okay.

River and Asher came back but River looked excited, I wasn't sure why. When I asked her what they talked about she wouldn't tell me.

"Boys and girls," I said looking over to River "where are we sleeping?"

"I guess you and River have to sleep next to each other since you're siblings." Lucas said

"Yeah I guess." I pouted

"Dove, you okay? You seem sad, if you want we could sleep next to each other, if everyone is okay with Lucas and River sleeping next to each other." Asher was being so sweet.

"Uhhh" I look over to River "River..." I started to pout even more

"If Lucas's cool with it, so am I."

"Lucas." Asher and I look at Lucas

"Yeah sure why not."

"YES, but sleep turned away from each other. She's still my sister and you're still my friend." I said as I stared at Lucas.

"Alright bro, calm down."

We all started to get tucked into bed but Asher and I couldn't sleep.

"Hey wait till they sleep I want to show you something." Asher whispered to me

"Alright, can't wait."

We waited about 30 minutes till everyone was asleep.

"Follow me," I hear Asher whisper

I followed him up some stairs I didn't even know existed, they were so long and I got tired.

"Are we there yet?" I asked kinda whining but I didn't care

"Wait, it'll be worth it." Asher said

A few minutes later we were on a balcony looking up at the beautiful stars.

"This is something I discovered recently and you're the first person I'm bringing here." Asher said proudly

"Oh so I'm special?" I smirked

"Yeah kinda." He was being so shy, I loved it

"Well thank you."

"The stars are so pretty, I could look at them forever" I said

"Yeah but you know what?" He asked me turning us so we were facing each other

"What," I said looking into his beautiful black eyes

"They aren't prettier than your sea green eyes." and at that point I was holding his hands leaning in for a kiss

Thankfully he kissed back, it was a tender and meaningful kiss. I wish I could kiss him all the time, but I couldn't. We ended up looking up at the stars for another 10 minutes in silence until we went back to the room and fell asleep.

Asher's pov:

I took Dove to a balcony I just discovered hoping it would be a romantic moment before our date. It went well too, she leaned in to kiss me and obviously I kissed back, her lips were so soft.

When we went back to the room to sleep I put my arm around her, she's so small and adorable. We basically hugged each other to sleep.

The next morning I woke up to a loud noise. It was Lucas and River trying to wake Dove and I up. They were banging pots and pans together and Lucas would thrown in a 'Oi oi wake the fuck up'.

"River stop Asher and I are trying to sleep." Dove groaned as I hugged her tighter

"Well cuddle sessions over because Lucas and I want food" River said

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Dove said

"At least I was on a bed." She sassed her

"Alright, Dove and I will be down in a second." I heard Asher groan

"OKAYYYYY!" I heard Lucas say running downstairs until I heard a thump

"I'M FINE." I heard Lucas scream, of course it was him who fell
