Chapter 19

Asher's pov:

I wanted the week to be over already so I could go on the date. It was only Tuesday and I'm not the most patient person in the world. I'm the type of person to be impatient for something and just think about that one thing until the last second, then I start to rush and get ready even though I had a long time. Yeah it's a pretty bad habit but that's not the point. I keep on thinking 'Should I go out and get things for the camping date?' but I didn't feel like it. School had already finished and I had no clue what to do. I didn't have homework so I mean what could I really do? Maybe I could go to Lucas' house, lemme text him.

me: Hey dude, where are you?

lucas: Oh hey,  I'm home, why?

me: I'm bored and I was wondering if I could come over.

lucas: Yeah, you can come. I'll send you my address.

me: Alright I'll be there in 20.

lucas: See you soon!

I got into my car and started to drive to Lucas' house. It was a little farther than I thought it would be. After 25 minutes I finally made it to his house. When I got there I wanted to pick the lock for him to get a taste of his own medicine but I didn't know how so I just knocked. He let me in and was complaining about how I was 5 minutes late. We played some video games and ate some snacks which I really enjoyed. It helped me take my mind off the date, I was really stressed about it and I had no clue where to start. Do I get the tents or something?? I was just really happy that I got to hang out with my best friend.

"HA I KILLED YOU!" Lucas said so joyfully

"OH COME ON THAT WASN'T FAIR."

"NO YOU JUST SUCK." He spat

"ONE MORE ROUND." I told him

"Fine but you're going to lose."

We played until it was 7 and I had to go home, we said our goodbyes and I left. I went home and just looked up at the ceiling and I drifted off into my own world. I started thinking about Dove and her perfect locks of hair and I slowly began to fall asleep.

Dove's pov:

I was home alone all day and I was just bored. I didn't wanna go to Asher's place and I mean it didn't even look like he was home anyway. I decided to look for a job. I never really felt like I needed a job to keep me occupied but ever since I hung out with Asher I've been more bored when he wasn't there.

I got up and put on an aegean blue oversized t-shirt and some black jeans and left the house to find a job. I didn't know what job I wanted but I knew I didn't want it to be too complicated. I got in the car and started looking for job openings and lucky for me I saw an ice cream shop that was in need of a cashier. I went inside to see if I could qualify and I thankfully did.

"All you need to do is refill the ice creams and work at the cashier and I showed you how so that's all." The man working there said. "You will work on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 am to 3 pm". He said I start next Monday. We exchanged names and his name was George.

I went home and told River about my job and she was really happy for me. God I just really love her. She's always been so supportive of me. She always tries her best to make sure I'm happy and comfortable. I really did owe her.

It was about 5 pm and I decided to ask Nova and Tate if they wanted to go to the park.

"Girls, you wanna go to the park?"

"YES! YES! YES!" Nova said, the joy in her voice made me so happy.

"Can we go somewhere to eat after? I'm really hungry." Tate asked

"Why not go before? We can have a picnic at the park." I suggested

"YAY!" The girls were so happy.

We made it to the car and I asked the girls where they wanted to go to eat. They both agreed on In N Out. We went and got our burgers and fries and I drove them to the park.

"So girls, you having fun?" I ask

"Yeah, thank you!!" Nova said

"Well I love you guys so I want you to be happy and have an amazing time out with me." I told them

"I love you too." Tate and Nova said at the same time
