Asher's pov:

So today I'm moving and I'm really scared. What if I don't make any friends? What if I get made fun of for being bi? And I mean I wouldn't see my boyfriend, it would be a long distance relationship- wait that might not be so bad. I know you might think that not seeing your boyfriend as much is not great but in my case it is.

My boyfriend abuses me. When I do something wrong he hits me so next time I don't do it, he tells me he does this cause he loves me. You're probably thinking 'why don't you just break up with him', well it's not that simple. I can't break up with him because he would hurt me more, plus my mom absolutely adores him. It's fine though I know he loves me, right?

"Mom do I really need to take my lamp from when I was 5, I'M 18 I DON'T NEED IT"

"YES ITS FOR MEMORIES" She yelled out from the other room

"FINE BUT IF MY FRIENDS COME TO VISIT ITS GOING INTO THE CLOSET"

-

While we're in the car I was on the phone with my boyfriend.

"Hey babe, I'm in the car and I miss you already"

"Yeah miss you too"

"Oh, honey is that Brody?" My mom called out while driving

I nodded

"Well then give me the phone, I haven't talked to him in ages." My mom said as she grabbed my phone

"Hi Brody, sweetheart, how are you?"

"Oh hi Mrs.Twist, I'm good, how are you?"

"I'm good other than the fact that Asher is extremely loud."

my mom answered, I heard Avery giggle

"MOM!!"

"Calm down she was just joking," I heard Avery say playfully punching my arm

"Okay well pass me the phone so I could say bye to MY boyfriend please."

"Okay okay, here's your phone."

"Why'd you say my like that?" Avery asked

"Well it seems to me that I have to remind you he's MY boyfriend." I heard Avery laugh more

"Okay babe you hear that I have to go, love you bye." I told Brody as I heard him laugh

"Okay bye."

-

As we were driving I saw a girl, it looked like she had just been on a run, she had twinkling green eyes and sweat dripping from her beautiful dark brown hair which was tied up into a high ponytail, she looks so pretty- WAIT NO STOP YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND, REMEMBER BRODY REECE, LOVE OF YOUR LIFE. Anyway, she had on a white top and some black leggings.

"What are you looking at?" I heard Avery creep behind me

"Oh nothing just the trees, it's so green here," REALLY ASHER YOU COULDN'T THINK OF ANYTHING BETTER THE THE tReEs

"Right...the trees." Avery reassured herself

-

We made it to the house and it was like any other average house. When I walked inside I saw a beautiful marble table in the kitchen, we even finally had a backyard with a pool. When I found my new room I looked around and I didn't believe it. It was so big and I had so much room to decorate.

I started to unpack, throwing my clothes on the bed, slowly folding them, and putting them away when I heard a knock at the door. I opened the door and there was a sweet lady standing there with cookies.

"Hi, I'm your next door neighbor. My name's Jay." She sounded so nice. "I just came by to welcome you to the neighborhood and bring you some cookies" she said as she handed me the cookies.

"Oh thank you so much, I'm Asher, let me go get my mom" I rushed out of there to go get my mom.

"Hi I'm Anne, Asher's mom."

"Oh my daughter should be here any minute now, her name's Dove."

"Hey mom," I saw the girl with green eyes come, I almost choked

"Asher honey, you alright?" My mom asked

"Yeah I'm fine." I managed to spit out

"Well I'm Dove, it's nice to meet my new neighbors."

"Hi I'm Asher, mom should I go get Avery?" I asked hoping I could leave this conversation

"No it's alright they can meet Avery tomorrow for dinner at 6 if they can come over." my mom said glancing over at them

"Yes, that would be wonderful." I heard Jay say "It could be an amazing bonding experience between the kids"

"All right then see you tomorrow curly." Dove said I immediately started getting butterflies 'I already have a nickname from her' kept thinking to myself. I like how she gave me a nickname because of my hair, no one really notices, my favorite trait is my curly hair.
