Chapter Fourteen

The past few weeks have been tense for everyone, after all, the whole group was angry at one another It was all because of the bomb that was dropped on Peter and Delilah's secret relationship. To keep their minds off everything, they booked more work hours. Especially Delilah, who has been getting attacked by Nancy and Lucy since the news dropped. But it probably just was something everyone needed to get used to. It was a shock. For everyone. Peter was still hanging out with Mike but that was the only person he really spoke to, meanwhile he hung around Delilah still, but she was trying to keep her distance and not be around him all the time because it was all too much for her to deal with. Because her friends were not talking to her as much anymore. To forget about her friends not talking to her, Delilah spent time training a new nurse, Sophie Franklin, she was around the same age as Peter maybe a year younger than him, she had beautiful red hair and an ivory complexion, and big blue eyes. Delilah was excited to show Sophie what beautiful Hawaii was like and how much fun she was going to have living there. 

"You're gonna just love Hawaii Sophie," Delilah said, "If you need anything my name's Delilah." 

"Thank you, Delilah," Sophie responded, Sophie was someone who definitely had some innocence in her, but she wasn't naive like Lucy, she had innocence and optimism, and was definitely more bubbly and energetic than Lucy was. "I'm really excited to be here." 

Sophie looked around the hospital and she immediately was in awe. She was excited to start her new life, and Delilah was excited to have her around. Delilah just needed her mind off everything and all that needed to be dealt with. But then, the person she was trying to avoid, came in. Peter came into the hospital with a sprained wrist, Mike helped him to the hospital as Delilah and Sophie looked over.

"Alright, Sophie." Delilah said, "Work starts now."

Peter came into the hospital a little bit whiney, which is something he didn't usually do, except for when he was injured, he was complaining a lot.

"Mike, what happened?" Delilah asked, 

"He sprained his wrist. Let's say he didn't take it too well." Mike responded as Peter started to whine.

"It hurts," Peter whined, "That's gonna leave a mark."

"How did you even..." 

"I fell..." Peter said, "Okay I fell." 

Delilah sat Peter down on the hospital bed, and Delilah looked straight at Sophie.

"Soph, do you want to help out with this one?" Delilah asked her, Sophie nodded. She went over to the bed Peter was sitting on.

"Hi My name's Sophie and I'm gonna help you out..." 

"No. No. Get Delilah please." Peter complained, "Please. I got myself injured to talk to her between me and you." 

"Why?" Sophie asked looking at Delilah who was talking to some other nurse. 

"It's a long story," Peter said looking at Mike. Mike didn't want to explain to Sophie either because it wasn't his story to tell. 

"Alright, we're gonna put it in some ice water for you, Peter," Sophie said, Peter didn't like those words, he didn't want to ice his swollen wrist. The thought of his hand soaked in ice water. Sophie walked away and Peter looked straight at Mike. Delilah came in the back with Sophie to get the ice water, and Mike and Peter on the other were just spending time staring at each other. Wondering what was happening, Peter was being stupid. Mike knew Peter was being stupid. Sophie came back with Delilah and they got ice water for him in a bucket

"Look, do I have to do this?" Peter asked, "I am not interested in getting hypothermia."

"You're not gonna get hypothermia," Delilah said to him,
