Walking the Carpet

When Hailee and y/n had arrived they had about 10 people ahead of them, so there was a wait. One that was just long enough for y/n to relax and not feel so on edge. As the line dwindled though y/n grew a little more nervous. She was really about to walk the Met Gala carpet.That was something that she wouldn't have imagined in her wildest dreams.

ok, it's our turn to walk out there and onto the carpet right?

Sure is, now take my hand, and let's go.

Hailee and y/n stepped out hand in hand. Every pap called out to Hailee and y/n hadn't realized she had fully gotten the goo goo eyes until Hailee had looked over and told y/n how cute she was. That was when reality set in again and y/n stiffened up. but Hailee grabbed y/n by the waist and got them out of there and to the main event. 

Ok, I made it through the first carpet and I'm not sweating bullets. *deep breath*

 I can do this, please god just don't separate from me.

I won't leave you behind. I will be right next to you for the whole night.

So Hailee and y/n set off to the carpet and the Iconic Met steps. They may have looked like that one couple that couldn't keep their hands to themselves but it seems like the photographers were eating it up. There was no denying that they were just friends anymore. It was obvious that they were more than a fling they were together. Move out the way Megan and MGK the biggest couple currently on the carpet is now Hailee and y/n. They walked 3/4 of the carpet together before y/n had decided to split from Hailee and let her have her moment. All while y/n waited for her bombshell girlfriend at the top of the steps. Hailee was confused at first thinking she was needing to run after y/n then she saw her golden retriever with her phone in hand getting pictures to send in the family group chat. Hailee eventually catches up to y/n and they head inside the museum and enjoy the rest of their night at the gala until it ends.

And just like that you have a Met Gala under your belt.

Wow, how long was the party anyways? It felt like it flew by.

It was at least 4 hours we spent in there.

I can't believe I got to experience the Met Gala bathroom. 

I saw myself in the back of one of Lizzo's pictures holding your bag.

Haha yeah, I remember thinking all of that after my first Met.
