Hailee and y/n had spent the remaining 2 months counting down the days until the wedding. With 53 days until the ceremony, the rings were finished and ready to be picked up. The rings looked perfect. They sat perfectly over their engagement rings. It was hard to believe that the mock-up they had seen that was amazing had somehow managed to be outdone by the final product. Hailee and y/n took the rings home and put them away but not before admiring them for another roughly 30 minutes in the closet under all of the massive led lights.
*holding Hailee's ring*
So can we try these things on?
You know these things were made in our sizes right?
So if the engagement ring fits the band is going to fit you too.
Unless this is how you tell me your engagement ring doesn't fit anymore.
No, it fits perfectly.
Then why would you want to try them on?
I just wanted to practice putting it on your ring finger, you know make sure there isn't an issue with the rings stacking.
Or is that some kind of bad luck thing?
Like seeing the bride in her dress before the wedding ceremony...
You ask a lot of questions.
I always have.
I know but you ask more when you are excited or nervous and I'm willing to bet that you're more excited right now than nervous.
You know me pretty well.
I would be scared if I didn't, considering I did ask you to marry me.
*goes in to kiss y/n on the cheek*
Here let me have your hand.
*gives Hailee a hand*
No your other hand.
Why do you need my hand in the first place?
*slips ring on her ring finger*
Woah woah woah.
You wanted to test-run the rings, didn't you?
Yeah but I also asked if it was connected with some superstitious bad luck thing.
Because I sure as hell didn't want to take any risks with something as good as us.
Well, if it does bring bad luck it will only be to me.
Or at least I think that's how it works since I put the ring on your finger early.
As cute as that is...
*slips ring on Hailee's hand*
I can't let you do that for me.
So what we both might have bad luck now?
I was banking on it canceling itself out if it was bad luck.
I'm not sure that's how it actually works.
