When did you say we needed to start cooking again?

Well right now its like noon and your family isn't coming till 6, right?

Yeah somewhere around there.

We know they get here early so I'd say 5:30 though. 

Well, If you're up to it,we can start to cook everything when they get here.

I do want to prep the burgers and fries though. It'll be nicer to have conversation with the smell of grilled burgers and not raw ground beef.

Yeah it's not the greatest smell.

Why of course Mi Amor!

 Its not glamorous, at all.

 You know what can you can start peeling potatoes. Just while I get some water on the stove to parboil them.

That entire bag we just bought?

No like half of it.

 I know it's a lot but once I get the water going and the oil poured in the other pot I promise I'll come back and help. For now though I'll play some music for us. It always seems to make time go by faster in the kitchen for me.

I get into my groove.

Are you gonna put a show on for me like when we were working out yesterday with Dad?

Now here are those potatoes I told you i'd rinse off.

Hailee plucked a potato from the top of the pot that her girlfriend had presented her with. With Hailee's current skill set it would take her all afternoon to peel these potatoes but she didnt exactly mind. The longer she spent in the kitchen the longer she got to watch y/n in her element. It was nice to see her in the zone every now and then. While Hailee was off in dreamland or maybe staring at y/n's ass or lack thereof y/n was busy picking th perfect playlist to listen to while the couple worked away in the kitchen. Y/n went with the safe bet and just shuffled the playlist that had the couple's favorite songs on them. 

 now I'll get that water measured out and the oil.

Y/n wasn't sure if Hailee had never heard the song or if she was just shocked that Y/n was playing Harry Styles. If she was honest it was probably the latter since y/n's top artists the year prior had been Halsey, The Marias, Wolf Alice, and Post Malone. So Harry was a pleasant surprise to Hailee, who had started to dance along to the song as she peeled the potatoes. Just as Hailee had begun to pick up the pace and peel faster she swore she could hear y/n singing. And when Hailee popped her head up taking her eyes off of the potato she was peeling that was when she saw y/n singing and shimmying around the kitchen with a massive pot of water.
