Isaac POV*

All three of us ran through the town, on our way to the town square. It can't be real, they must've made a mistake, there is no way they found them this quickly.

As we got closer to the square it got more and more crowded. We forced our way through the many people to see exactly what was going on. All around of there was a combination of healing and just confused conversation. But all I was fixed on was seeing who they caught, hoping it was a random person.

We finally squeezed through the crowd. My dad suddenly stooped, causing me to bump into him. He stared up at the figure infront of us.

"Let me go! You've got the wrong person." In the middle of the crowd were the two hunters I'd run into more than I wanted to. Behind them, they pulled a giant wooded cage. Inside of it was a tall, tired-looking man, covered in scars and cuts.

"No, we didn't. We're pretty sure." One of the hunters laughed. "No, you got it wrong!" The man yelled back, but it didn't impress them. They stopped walking and turned to the crown.

"Ladies and gents." He started. "We found the monster terrorizing your town!" He said proudly. All around the crown was irrupted into mumbles.

"Terrorize?! I haven't been here in years!" The so-called 'werewolf' defended. "You shut up, all you say is lies." The other hinter banged his bow onto the cage, loaded with one of the poison arrows. So they didn't use it on him? Or did it just. Not affect him.

I looked up to see my dad's expression. He stared at the figure in the cage, almost looking hurt. I looked back to the hunters as they kept asking for praise and money, which only a small few gave to them.

Suddenly my dad walked away, I did t see where he went. Soon the hunters grabbed the cage again and started to walk toward the prison building. Well, I say prison but all there were these cells and a guard that mostly slept.

The crowd moved around me as the cage traveled further away, leaving me just standing there. Well, at least it wasn't who I thought it was, who I feared it was. But if this guy is another werewolf... how many are left?

"So, do you still not believe me?" Suddenly Ava jumped on top of me from behind. Startled I turned around. "I-" I wasn't sure what to say, I already believed her after finding out a couple of days ago about Lukas and Aubrey.

"Can't deny it now, can I?" I said back. She smiled proudly. "See, I wasn't just paranoid, the traps were a good idea?" She kept going.

"Yeah, sure-" I said simply. "You don't sound too surprised." She complained. I turned to her. "Well, I'm just- surprised," I said, which wasn't a lie. I was freaking out, I should tell Lukas.

"I understand, it is pretty hard to believe, even though I told you like a million times." Ava kept telling me how right she was about all of this, but I just couldn't concentrate on her, my mind was somewhere else.

We stayed In town for a long time, just talking about it. Well, mostly Ava talking and me only half-listening to her. Somewhere she even mentioned how she could've caught it instead of the hunter.

"By the way... were they the ones that got the poison?" She asked. I nodded. "Yeah, they are seriously dangerous," I said back.

"So I guess the poison you gave them came in handy?" She nudged my shoulder. I looked down at her surprised. "Your right. Can't do that anymore." I said, more to myself than to her.

"What do you mean, of course, you do," she defended. "What if they kill him?" I said back. "Good, they should." She said harshly.

"You don't mean that." I shot back. "Uh yeah I do, it's a monster it shouldn't be out there." She argued. "A monster?" I asked, offended. "You do realize I'm a monster too?" I answered. It's only but I'm still a vampire.

"You're... different." She looked down. "You have control over it." She continued. "He could have control too-" I argued back. "How would you know? It's not like you know one personally"

I wanted to prove her wrong by telling her the truth, but I decided it wasn't my place to. Besides, she just admitted to wanting them dead.

I stayed silent. We watched as the crowd thinned out, probably meaning they put him away safely. I looked towards the prison building. I want to go in there to talk to him.

I watched as the last of the people left, leaving just one person. My dad. I looked over confused as he said something to the hunters before parting ways. He went inside, where I couldn't see him anymore.

"Isaac listens-" Ava was about to continue the previous conversation when I got up and walked away, ignoring her. I went up to the building and followed my dad inside.

He talked with the guard, I couldn't hear what he said but he seemed serious. The guard nodded and walked off leaving my dad fully unattended. I watched as the guard went to the other room.

I walked up to my dad, who disappeared into the room In-front of him. I was careful not to be spotted. I walked up to the door, stopping beside it. I turned my head to see what was going on.

When I looked inside I saw my da in front of the cell. The man sat on the bench inside defeated, his back facing the bars.

"What are you doing here?" He asked. My dad looked startled as if he didn't expect him to have noticed him.

"I could ask you the same thing." He smiled softly, the guy in the cell got up suddenly, turning around, like he recognized the voice.

He walked up to the bars. Looking closely. "Nigel, is that you?" He asked, his voice shaking.

"Hi Marc, it's been a while." My dad smiled.
