⚠️ Gets kinda gorey ⚠️

Isaac POV*

After Marc's little outburst, Lukas and I had decided to move to the room to talk more, I didn't want him listening in on everything. Besides, he has a plan to come up with, we offered to help but he seemed determined to do it himself. With some help from Aubrey, but he couldn't do much about her.

Aubrey, of course, had to give us a weird look as we announced where we were going, but I ignored it, and soon we were on our way to the room. "I'm really curious about that conversation," I said. "What conversation?" He asked as we walked.

"You explaining to her how you found the room." I laughed, "right, thanks for that, by the way." He said looking back at me, "you really left me back there."

I moved next to him. "Sorry," I smiled. He smiled back and looked ahead. "Well she was a bit grumpy about it, but in the end, she was okay with me keeping it." He smiled proudly.

"Great." I smiled. We reached the room, all the windows were open by now, and looking at the lack of dust on the tables, it appeared to have worked.

"Whoa, this looks a lot better," I said as I walked around. "Yeah, I had some free time to clean up," he stood in the door frame. "Yeah, about that," I started, "I promised my dad I'd be home for dinner tonight," I explained.

"Oh, you did?" He said, sounding a little disappointed. "Well, that sucks." He said as he walked up to the bed. "Yeah, I've been away a lot lately," I said back. "I should go home when I can."

He didn't say anything and kept going to a pot behind the beds. "That's too bad, just when I found these." He said as he reached behind the bed, pulling out what appeared to be bedsheets.

"Don't you wish you could stay here now?: he smirked I let out a laugh. "Oh wow, bedsheets. You realize I have my own, right?" I said as I walked up to him. "Well yeah, but there's one thing it doesn't have. " he continued as he put the sheets on the bed. "And what is that?" I laughed stopping in front of him.

He finished making the bed and got on it. "Your bed doesn't have me!" He smirked as he lay down. I couldn't help but laugh. "No, it doesn't." I laughed.

He sat up on his arms and looked over at me. I walked up to the bed and sat down. "I still have to go home though," I repeated he nodded as he sat up fully. "Yeah, I know-" he said. I turned to look at him. "But you don't have to go home right now, right?" He asked. I shook my head, feeling a little confused.

"No course, why do you-" but before I could ask he had pulled me down onto the bed, hovering over me. "Just making sure." He smirked before leaning down and kissing me. I kissed him back almost instantly as he leaned down.

As we made out I couldn't help but feel... weird. It wasn't because of the kiss, but something else.

Maybe reading the boom was t such a good idea. After I put it down the voice only got louder, and now it almost felt like the other effects vane back.

I could hear Lukas's heartbeat. Which could be normal as he was so close to me, but what wasn't normal I'd the fact that I could also hear each and every artery pump with his heart.

I tried my best to ignore it and focus myself on him, and our kiss. But because of that, his heart started beating faster. I pushed him away suddenly as I felt my fangs pushing against my gums. He looked down at me confused as I covered my mouth.

"Everything okay?" He asked sitting up. I nodded and got up himself. "I just- " I said, dropping my hand. "I need some air-" I got up and went out the door without giving him a chance to ask what was going on.

I ran through the hall and eventually reached the back door. I closed it behind me and took a deep breath.

I expected Lukas to follow me, but it appeared he hadn't, because even after I had caught my breath, he still hadn't shown up. I let out a breath as I leaned against the door.

I looked over into the forest as my head finally got quiet. I calmed down, but the voices were still loud inside my head, what is happening to me? Why are these side effects lasting this long?

I held back tears as I tried my best to drown them out but nothing seemed to be working, every cell of my being was telling me to 'drink more'.

I felt myself about to break down when suddenly a noise from the forest caught my attention. I was about to head back inside in case it was a hunter.

But just then the origin of the noise jumped out in front of me. It was a rabbit. I sat on the path in front of me, just staring ahead. I let out a sigh of relief, seeing as it wasn't a hunter.

But that didn't last long. As I kept looking at it, I started to hear it again. I closed my ears to push it away again but it simply wasn't helping I looked at the rabbit again and felt myself not being able to hold back. The sound of its blood got louder and louder, drowning out any thoughts of protest. My fangs had fully shown themselves, coming out with such force they cut my lip. I took a deep breath, and just then I blacked out.

When I came too I was on the path, holding the rabbit. But it wasn't alive anymore, but the voices were gone.
