Heartstopper AU

AUTHOR'S NOTE - Obviously this story is basically Heartstopper but with Grey's character's put in. So, if you would like to check which characters relate to the ones in Heartstopper, go to the end and I'll put a list of details. BUT PLEASE! GO ACTUALLY WATCH/READ HEARTSTOPPER AND SUPPORT ALICE OSEMAN, THE FABULOUS CREATOR OF IT. ALL CREDIT GOES TO ALICE OSEMAN FOR THE STORY PLOT AND MOST OF THE DIALOGUE!!!!

The story is set in a UK school and I'm from the UK so it's going to be easier to keep it that way for me but don't worry, you don't have to imagine them all with British accents. AND I'm not making it two separate schools, it's going to be a boys and girls school because that means that Levi's best friend Taryn can be there!! Also, this is going to be long, so strap in, get comfy and enjoy!!

Levi looked at the phone in his hand as he walked through the school gates, other students talking and walking around as they waited for the first bell of the morning. Levi was excited to be back after the Christmas holidays, especially since he was to see Elijah again, the boy who he was going out with. They had met last term when Levi had been outed to the school and he was hiding out in the music room to escape the bullies. Elijah had come in, telling him he was brave and it didn't take long for them to kiss and suddenly, they were meeting in the library throughout the school day to make out. Elijah wasn't out yet and Levi respected that, he knew how much it sucked to have everyone know and pick on you. 

Levi continued through the school building till he made it to the library, it was quiet as it always was. The young boy rounded the bookshelves at the back, expecting Elijah to be waiting there as he usually was but no one was around. Levi sighed, taking his phone from his pocket, noticing he had a message from Elijah: 'Can we meet at break instead?'. Levi felt disappointed but replied with an 'okay' before placing his phone back into his pocket. Just as he did so, the first bell sounded and followed an announcement from the headteacher.

"Happy New year students! Don't forget there will now be students from all years in form groups. Hope you enjoy getting to know the new faces in registration each day!" The male voice sounded annoyingly enthusiastic. Levi looked to his hand where he had noted down where his new form group was, a sigh escaping his lips as he thought of not knowing anyone in the group and possibly having to face bullies once again. There was nothing he could do to change it though, so he adjusted his bag on his shoulder before heading out of the library and to his form room. 

"Oh! If it isn't Levi Schmitt. Happy new year!" Mr Webber, Levi's new form teacher, exclaimed. Levi paused in front of his desk, offering the teacher a smile. 

"Hi, sir," Levi greeted, watching as Mr Webber looked at the papers on the desk. Levi's eye caught there was a seating plan, he hoped that whoever he was going to be near was nice, or at least didn't care enough to speak to him, that would make things easier. 

"Come to join Grey House?" 

"Apparently, so," Levi replied unamused, his fingers picking at the strap of the bag he was holding, trying not to draw attention from the other students around him.

"Where did I put you on the seating plan?" Mr Webber talked to himself mostly as he flicked his eyes over the papers, his fingers finally finding Levi's name. "Ah yes, over there. Sitting next to Nico Kim," The teacher spoke and Levi turned his head to where he had gestured, his gaze landing upon an older boy who he had seen around but didn't know. "He's in Year 11, so only one year older than you. One of the rugby guys too, I think. I'm sure you'll get along swimmingly," He continued and Levi sighed at hearing he was one of the 'rugby guys', they were known for their popularity and they were the kind of students who bullied him last term. Mr Webber looked up, noticing the hesitant look on Levi's face, "Or you just sit in silence for the rest of the year, it really doesn't affect me in any way whatsoever," He added and Levi rolled his eyes, turning away from the desk and walking through the other students to his seat in the back corner.
