You really love him, huh?

Nico and Levi had been together coming up 6 months and everything was great between them. Of course, there had been some small arguments over little things but nothing the two couldn't handle.

Their relationship was perfect, it was like they were meant to be. And even with work and different schedules, they always make sure to see each other throughout the day, checking on one another.

Their home life was even better. Levi had pretty much moved in with Nico even though they hadn't made it official. Levi would even stay there when Nico had to work longer or wouldn't be home till early hours in the morning.

Nico loved coming home to find Levi napping on the couch because he had tried to stay awake for him or fast asleep in his bed. It would always make him smile to see his boyfriend like this, his heart would skip and beat and his breath would hitch in his throat.

Nico had had many relationships in the past, ones that had lasted longer than the one he was in now but everything felt different about this one. Levi meant everything to him, he missed him if he even went a few hours without seeing him and would always hope that Levi was at home when he got there.

In the hospital, everyone basically knew about them and weren't fussed if they showed each other affection throughout the day. Everything felt like it was meant to be.

Nico can't remember when he first started doing it but he began putting Polaroid photos of Levi up in his locker. By now there must have been more than twenty which had been taken over a few months, ones which they took together and some that Nico managed to sneakily get when Levi was doing something cute. 

Every time Nico would open his locker, a smile would appear on his lips and he would just forget any stress that was on him. His mind would flick back to the moments they were taken and then suddenly everything in the world didn't matter but Levi.

One time when Nico had opened his locker, DeLuca behind him looked in, seeing the mass of photos that were stuck to the walls.

"You really love him, huh?" DeLuca spoke, surprisingly making Nico jump slightly.

"I, uh, I don't know," Nico shut the locker and turned around, facing DeLuca who raised an eyebrow.

"No one has that many pictures of one person and doesn't love them," DeLuca said casually. Nico paused for a second. He knew that Levi meant a lot to him and that he couldn't imagine what it would be like to not have him around but was that love?

The longer Nico stood there and thought about it, the more he realised he didn't know what love was like, that he had never experienced it in past relationships.

"Oh my god, have you only just realised you love him?" DeLuca asked, chuckling slightly in amusement. "It's completely obvious, dude."

Nico took in what he said and everything fell into place. What Nico was feeling that was love, he was in love with Levi. He loves Levi.

"I love him," Nico muttered, thinking aloud to himself.

"Congrats, dude," DeLuca said, patting Nico on the shoulder, "You should let him know, he totally loves you too," DeLuca finished before heading off, out of the locker room.

Nico loved Levi. He loved everything about him.

He loved his nerdy rants he would go on when excited about a new episode being out that he loved. The way when he smiled wide he would put his tongue between his teeth. How his brown eyes looked like chocolate and the stars all at once and would distract him from the world around.

How Levi gives the best hugs and cuddles, especially when Nico has had a bad day. The way he gave gentle kisses when he was busy and had to run off. How his hands wrapped around Nico when they kissed.

How Levi would cook a meal for Nico for when he came home but be asleep because he was so tired. The way Levi would look in Nico's big jumpers when it was cold. The way he relaxed into the touch of him.

How he would rub his eyes and yawn when he was tired. The way he would use those beautiful puppy dog eyes to get what he wanted.

How he made children laugh and smile and teenagers listen. The way he listened to patients and was kind and caring to everyone around him. How he would put everyone in front of him just to make sure people were happy.

The way he would come to Nico when he was sad or stressed because he trusts him, because Levi loves him too.

Nico smiled to himself. He was happy, truly happy and he was in love with the cutest guy and he couldn't wish for anything else.

He had to tell him.
