Blake

Adam walks up to their porch, disappearing inside the house. I take advantage of being alone with Lily to approach her and wrap my arms around her small body. I don't know why, but before this exact moment, I hadn't really realized our height difference. I'm at least a head taller, if it isn't two. But it kind of makes sense that I only realize now, because the other times that we have kissed, we weren't standing. Once she sat on the kitchen counter, then we were in my truck's trunk. Once again. Sitting. Then, at the pier, in the Ferris wheel and after avoiding Adam, when I was on adrenaline and wasn't thinking straight.

My hands on the small of her back, I push her towards me, her breasts almost meeting my front. That's how close we are as our lips introduce themselves to each other. I will never get tired of kissing Lily. Of having her in my arms. Of calling her my girlfriend.

"Just to be sure..." I say as our lips part, only the memory of our kiss remains on them. "We're together?"

"As far as I am concerned, we have been since the first kiss we had, I was just to dumb to admit it," she tells me, taking a hold of my shirt and pulling me back to her, our mouths finding their way back to each other.

Her back against my truck, her arms wrapped behind my neck, my fingers tracing the sides of her body, we kiss for a few more seconds before I take her up in my arms, her legs wrapping around my hips as I do so. I take us inside, struggling to open the door, scared I might actually drop her, even though I would never let that happen. With a light kick at the bottom of the door, I close it and head to the living room, where I sit on the couch, Lily on top of me.

We kiss for what seems to be hours, when in reality, only a few minutes goes by before she pushes away from me, sliding off of me to take the seat next to me on the couch.

"I'm sorry," she tells me.

"It's okay," I whisper, kissing the side of her head before pulling her back to me. She straddles me again, her hands on my torso. "You have nothing to be sorry about. And I want you to know that I would never force you to do anything you don't want to."

"I know, I trust you, it's just... I'm sorry."

"Stop apologizing," I glue my forehead to hers, kissing the tip of her nose. "I love you, Lily, and I respect you more than anything."

"You're the best boyfriend, you know that?"

It makes me smile, "And you are the best girlfriend."

Her hand slowly raises, finding its place on my cheek. Her thumb rubs my skin, her eyes on mine and the bruise forming from Adam's hit.

"Does it hurt?"

"It's bearable," I reassure her.

"I'm so-"

I cut her off with a kiss, knowing she was about to apologize for Adam hitting me. We part after a few minutes, "Wanna watch a movie?" I offer.

We settle onto the couch, Lily next to me, her head on my shoulder and my arm around her. It doesn't take long before she falls asleep, her breath steadying and her hold on my waist loosening. I kiss the top of her head, take her in my arms and take her upstairs.

Lily

I don't remember falling asleep but here I am, waking up in Blake's bed again, him sleeping next to me. I look at him a few instants, taking in everything that has happened in the past few days and how comfortable I am around Blake. We're compatible on a whole other level and it scares me. I'm scared of falling. But I am mostly scared there won't be anyone to catch me if I do. Which is crazy because Blake clearly isn't going anywhere. But I can't help it.
