like the last update, this chapter will switch between Harry and Alia's POVs, but I won't be indicating each time it swaps. Read carefully and you'll be able to figure it out xx

"Do you think she'll wake up soon?"

"Well if the music and recordings are really helping then I don't think it's possible for her to stay out much longer! However, I'm not sure that is the case..."

"But you've heard it, her heart rate's been getting stronger every day!"

"Keep in mind she was also underwater for a good ten minutes without air. The human body can only last one and a half minutes without oxygen, but somehow the two of them survived. If she doesn't wake up within the next eight days, we will be obligated to take her off life support."

"She will."

"Hey Haz. It's Liam, Niall, Louis and Zayn."

"So, they said the two of you have a week before you get taken off of life support."

"We just wanted to come and see you. Both of your families have had time with you and her friends are waiting for us to finish seeing you."

"Please, Harry. You have to wake up. We aren't One Direction without you...we're better people because of you."

"No matter what you've done, we all love you."

"Wake up, please."

"We'll be here when you're ready to open your eyes."

"Love you!"

"Hey girl. We're all here, Hally, Leanne, Erin and Taylor."

"The boys just left from visiting your boyfriend. We wanted to see you before visiting hours end though, so here we are."

"Honey, please wake up! You only have seven days left to do it, and we need you to try."

"There is so much left for you to do, all you need to accomplish for now is opening your eyes."

"You lived through your nightmares, literally. You survived when they thought it wasn't possible, that proves you can do anything. Just wake up."

"We all love you."

"Just let us see you awake once more, please."

"We'll be waiting for you whenever you figure out how to see us again."

"Love you so much."

It wasn't as if I didn't want to wake up. I couldn't yet, no matter how hard I tried. But hearing their little speaches, it made me wonder if I really was trying my best. Did I really want to wake up? I tried to leave for a reason. I wanted to make everyone's lives easier. All I'd done for the past however many years was make them miserable. I'd hurt each one of my best friends so badly that no amount of apologizing could ever make up for it. That didn't even include the suppressed memories of how I must have acted around my family.

I knew that I had limited time. I just couldn't stand waking up and seeing him unconscious on the hospital bed next to me. I didn't think I could stand that, knowing that I would be okay while he would not. Kowing I had failed didn't help the cause either. I had tried to help him and had ended up needing to be saved myself. I knew Hally had been here a few days ago and told me that I had conquered it, but all I could feel was that I had succumbed to it miserably. If I couldn't make it through that for the boy I loved, what worth did I have?

Beep. Beep. Beep.

"So we're going to take Harry off first. It will take a few minutes, and if you feel him breathe don't get your hopes up, it often happens when the last bit of air leaves a person's body."

"We want them taken off together. At the same time."

"Very well then. Would you like a minute to say any last goodbyes?"

"We've all said goodbye already. It's time."

"I'm going to turn off the heart monitors now."
