Letters To Harry

9 - Hi, I'm Kevin Bird.

"WAKE UP!!!!!"

Niall yelled in surprise, jumping and almost hitting his head on the low roof of the kitchen where he'd fallen asleep last night. What a surprise...

"Where's Nandos?" the blond boy demanded of Louis, who was standing next to me. We were both giggling at the fact that we were finally able to be the ones to prank-wake-up Niall instead of the other way around.

"No Nandos," Liam called from the TV room, "But we do have currie in the fridge! Simon called and said we could have anything we wanted from the fridge since he won't be back til it's all gone bad."

"NOOOOO!" Niall protested. "WE CANNOT WASTE PERFECTLY DELICIOUS FOOD!!!"

Zayn had just walked into the room and patted Niall on the back.

"Don't worry, Harry can make us lunch!" He turned to me with his best wide-eyed puppy face. "Right Haz?"

I rolled my eyes but gave in easily.

"Okay. Now GET OUT OF MY KITCHEN!!!'

"Yes, O Great Maker Of Food." Niall led the way out of the kitchen and sat down on Liam's lap.

I set about preparing the currie while the other boys watched Finding Nemo (Niall's choice). Simon's kitchen was very nice...pity he didn't cook.

Once the currie was ready, I added chicken and vegetables and cooked some naan and rice. Then I made tea for Louis and pulled milk out of the refrigerator for everyone else (except me, I got apple juice).

"Lunch is ready!" I called.

Niall wiped his face on Liam's shirt (he always cried when we watched Finding Nemo), Zayn yawned and stretched, Louis jumped up from the floor, looking excited at the promise of food.

I grabbed a plate and served myself a generous amount of currie and rice. I was followed by Niall, Liam, Zayn and finally Louis. We sat down in a sort of hippie circle on the floor to eat.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

I grabbed the phone off of the coffee table.

"Hello?"

"Hi Harry."

I covered the mouthpiece and addressed the others.

"It's Simon!"

"HI UNCLE SI!!!" Niall, Zayn and Louis chorused, getting a 'shush' from Liam.

"What's up?" I asked into the phone.

"I'm really sorry to bother you guys on your vacation but we've received a special request for One Direction to perform at a charity benefit in Canada. Would you be willing to do it?"

"Yeh, of course." I answered without even asking. We really loved doing this kind of thing. It helped to support our fans who were struggling the most.

"Thank you then. I'll not be seeing you boys til later on this month, but I'll have the plane ready to take you to the event tomorrow around 3pm."

After hanging up the phone, I explained the situation to my fellow floor hippies. They all agrees without hesitation and Liam started cleaning up.
