Arianna's POV.
I was on fire. I swear, I could feel my muscles burning like never before.
In the short time I'd been here, alot had changed with me, physically and mentally. My body had become trained, and I could now see a six pack where I'd once had a flat stomach. My stamina had gone through the roof, along with my already high perseverance.
Something that had also changed, possibly the biggest change yet, was the fact that resisting my hunger had become kind of easier. The first initial few days had been hell to put it mildly. For days, I couldn't sleep, couldn't eat regular food, I couldn't even train. My body had nearly shut itself down, that was the night that my brothers and their father came in one night, held me down, and drew rune upon rune onto my skin. It had felt like they were stabbing me with a blunt knife, while injecting me with everything poisonous to a Vampire. I'd screamed in pure agony, cried, begged them to stop; but they hadn't. The next morning, I'd woken up with a headache not to mention that my body still stung, but that was it.
Training had become tougher with my growing skills. Each day my brothers would put me against tougher opponents, telling us to pick a weapon to train with for the day. I'd found I was good with swords, bows and arrows, and even knives. My hand to hand combat was also at a fast pace of improvement, but with that came the control as not fighting as a Vampire and that in itself was more than tough.
Outside the gym, I'd made friends. Sara, Jen, Will and Liam. I'd even starting to talk to Revan again. Honestly, the guy wasn't to bad, cocky at times, but in this place, it was that or look weak and not worthy of being here.
Most people knew who I was now, what I was fighting against. It made them fight me twice as hard and it made me work all that much harder to reach my goal. I wanted rid of this Vampy part of me. It wasn't natural.
Today, it was the last the fight I was having before the ceremony. The ceremony consisted of me speaking Latin, which I'd been learning, and chanting some old ass phrases. Holy phrases. My brothers joked that was going to be zapped with Holy fire and I was gonna be fried to a crisp. Personally, I was scared.
Walking into the gym, I was greeted by the rest of the class, all sitting. I frowned and turned around. My brothers and their Father, along with many of the other council members were huddled into a corner, discussing something intently.
Sitting down next to Will, I asked, "What's goin' on?"
He shook his head and shrugged, "My guess is that you're about to either get annihilated or we're all about to get an ass whipping."
Naturally my gut was doing somersaults because I just knew. I knew I was about to get my ass handed to me, and boy was this going to hurt. A few stragglers from the class walked in, receiving dirty looks from the Council members but just like the rest of us confused as hell as what was about to happen.
Not long after the last student swaggered in, the council members broke apart and without blinking, each and every single one looked directly at me. My stomach dropped and my anxiety sky rocketed. "It was nice knowing you." Will muttered under his breath, knowing I could hear him. Thanks you asshole, way to make me feel better!
My breathing picked up as both my brothers came over to me and knelt down. Drew was the first to speak. "So, we have some pretty bad news for you..." I swallowed, or atleast tried to. The lump in my throat prevented this. Callum and Drew both placed their hands on my shoulders and both looked down "The council members are saying that you're a danger, a monster that can't control your hunger. That you shouldn't be here and that we need to put you down." What was left of my self control dissipated.
