Aria's POV

When I opened the letter, I wasn't all that sure weather I wanted to laugh or cry. I was close to my Mom, and was sad knowing I was going to be leaving her for four years; only seeing her maybe once a year, as she worked alot! My Mom had been unbelieveably proud of me and Sammy both, as my Mom had kind of become a second Mom to Sammy for most of her life, so she was also sad at both of us leaving.

Sammy had left 2 week's earlier than me, leaving me alone to pack up my clothes, photo album's, nessesities and also to say my goodbye's alone; which I wasn't all that happy about. She'd been acting really distant since she left my house the day after we got our letters. I knew something probably happened with her parents, but didn't want to ask.

Shaking my head, I put the last box of my stuff in the back of my new Range Rover and closed the boot with a Slam. Jogging back up to the front door of my house, I called inside, "Mom! I'm gonna set off!" I waited for about a minute, until I heard the sound of my Mom running down the hall stairs, then running into the entrance hall, where i was suddenly englufed in a tight hug, that brought tears to my eyes. "I'm gonna miss you Mom." I whispered, afraid if I spoke any louder the tears would break through and start rolling down my cheeks.

"I'm going to miss you too." She said, then pulled back. Smiling, she looked up and sighed, "You need to go baby, or your gonna get there after dark." I nodded and gave her a peck on the cheek, then turned and walked out to my car, where I started it up, and set off.

I got to Morganville about 6:30 at night, and the sun was just setting, casting an orange glow over the dusty town. Eve had told me to be inside the dorm room by dark or she'd kick my ass, so I gently put my foot down, still staying in the speed limit but still managed to reach the campus before it got fully dark. Parking up, I cut the engine and climbed out of the beast of a car suddenly bumbing into a solid chest, making me stumble but not before feeling the person catch me.

Looking up, my eye's locked onto a sparkling pair of brown eye's that stared down at me. When he suddenly asked, "Child, are you okay?"

The 'Child' part instantly made me recoil from his grasp. "I'm fine thankyou." I turned away and walked around to the boot and opened it, only grabbing two boxs, which contained some of my clothes/necessities and the second box; School stuff. I was fully aware of the gorgeous man behind me, watching, as I placed the boxes infront of me, then shut the boot. Stuffing the keys into my pocket, I grabbed the boxes and started walking away toward the dorm building.

"Child. Has no taught you it's rude to walk away from someone when they are talking to you." I rolled my eyes, at the guy and kept walking. Suddenly I heard a growl that practically made my bones shudder, and somehow my feet stopped moving; freezing me in place; In the dark. My heart rate increased so fast, I thought It might actually stop. Slowly I turned around, fearing I might see sort if wild animal, but instead, stood the man who caught me. I silently sighed with relief when I saw there were no animals in sight. Until I realised, if there were no animal in sight, then what made the sound? My gaze unwilling lead me to the person in front of me. My eyes widened.

"So that's how I get you're attention, Miss Rosser." He smiled, as if nothing was wrong. "Did I scare you?" His tone light, joking almost.

"That was you?" My voice came out stronger that I felt. He nodded his response, slightly grinning. "Animal" I blurted, instantly slapping my free hand over my mouth.

His laugh practically echoed off the muggy air, surrounding me; making me shiver. "Has nobody told you to be inside after dark?"

"Technically I'm on campus, so nothing can happen to me." The words flew out of my mouth, even though I had no idea where they came from.
