I was dead. I was actually dead and this time I didn't want to be. I looked at mom, standing over me and weeping and my unbeating heart went out to her.

"Mom, I'm here, right next to you. Look at me, please!" I cried, trying to grab her shoulder, but I just went through her.

I stared in horror as Myrnin lifted a blanket, draping it over me, the silver stake in my heart still sticking up horrifically. "Myrnin, please, you've got to be able to see me! Someone look at me!" I shouted, running between my dysfunctional, mismatched family, trying to make them see me.

"Amelie, we have hope. Claire, how long did it take you to appear as a ghost" Theo asked her, trying to calm her down. Myrnin was just staring down at my body sadly, like I was his daughter, not Liams.

"A while, and even then not everyone could see me. It took sunset for Shane to see, feel and hear me, but it's already night. Sunrise, maybe?"

"I failed her. For the second time, I've let her down." Mom whispered and that made tears start falling down my cheeks.

"Mom, I'm right here. Please, see me.." I cried, leaning against the wall for support. I felt a zap of power and leapt away from it, knocking into the door. It swung shut.

"Is there a window open?" Myrnin asked, ignoring Amelie's comment. "Or did someone knock the door?"

"No, no windows are open. And we're all stood at least a metre away."

"Sammy? Sammy, if you're there, do it again." Claire said, her face pale and anxious.

I tried to move the door again, but my hand went straight through it. "Shit. Come on, I need to show them that I'm here!"

"She's dead, can't you get that? My daughter is dead and she isn't coming back!" Amelie screamed, her eyes turning red as she grew angry.

"Myrnin, get her outside and explain what's going to happen. Claire, you do the same with Shane. Get Eve and Michael here too, they all grew up together." Theo instructed, taking control, covering over my body with a blanket so that mom couldn't see me anymore. It didn't help, just made her cry harder.

"What about Jason? They were getting incredibly close." Myrnin asked, leading my distraught mother towards the door.

He considered this while I shouted at him to get him here to tell him. "Keep him out, he'll just make it awkward. Try to keep Oliver and Arianna out if possible, but if they find out, it would not be the end of the world. "

"You asshole! Jason would be able to hear me, I know he would!" I screamed, storming out into the kitchen, walking through the door as I did. If it wasn't the fact that I was dead and possibly stuck here for the rest of my existence, I would probably be having fun right about now.

I sat there for a while, thinking of ways that I could possibly make them see me. Lipstick on a mirror, but I had no lipstick or paint, possessing one of them, but there was no guarentee that they'd believe that I was in that person. In the end, I gave up and just laid myself on the counter, waiting for whatever great beyond there was out there to come and claim me.

I don't know how long I had been there when I heard my ex-best friend come into the house, leaning on my mother for support. I ran over to see her open the door to the living room and go to argue with Ninny and Theo but collapse on the floor in tears instead. "Well, that proves that neither of us want to hate each other. Aria, i'm here, I'm not properly dead yet!" I shouted, hoping that with her Angel senses that she may be able to see me when everyone else can't.

She just sat there sobbing, Myrnin picking her up and leading Amelie out of the room, walking straight through me to take them into the kitchen. "Rude much? I may be dead but I am still stood here you know!" I growled, following him and sitting myself on the counter and mom sat herself on the windowsill next to me and Arianna at the table I had previously been lying on.
