Aria's POV
You lied to me bare faced! About the one thing that truly does matter!
My fathers voice echoed through my head. The pain in his voice was something I never wished to hear again. It was all her fault! This was all Samantha's fault! When I saw her earlier at her mothers house, all the anger and rage rose to the top and I somehow couldn't control the snarl that ripped its way out of me. Her face was a picture, the pure fright on it made me want to laugh, but I knew that there wasn't the time.
Walking up the Glass House drive, I noticed Samantha's scent lingered in the air, which meant she was here. I could feel my hand instantly go to my blade, but instead of getting it out of its sheath, I covered it by tying my white trench coat tightly around my waist.
With my mood worse than before, I made sure the door slammed as I walked through and into the kitchen. As much as I tried, the feeling of hurt swept through me, as I saw them all around the table.
"Well isn't this cosy." My snarkyness played in my voice.
"You weren't supposed to be back yet." Shane's said, grumpily.
"Shut up Shane!" Eve snapped, then looked back at me with pleading eyes. "Aria I..." I held up my hand to stop her.
"It's fine, cousin. I know you probably didn't want her here, but Shane forced you anyway."
My eye roll caught the fluctuation of moment by the table. Sammy was standing up.
Crossing my arms, I glared at her.
"What is your problem with me." Venom laced Samantha's voice.
Another eye roll. "You're my problem, and to be honest, you created at a massive problem between out parents! Which might I add, creates problems for Morganville!"
"What?" Echoed from all of the other people in the room.
Sammy's eyes took on a deep crimson red, and her fangs extended.
"Turn around Sammy, show Shane your true colours." I knew I was pushing my luck in my weakened state, but something wouldn't let me let go. "Turn your head, and see what your cousin thinks. I mean, it's common knowledge that all Collins hate Vampires. He even hated Michael for being a Vampire, and Michael is his best friend."
I knew something was going to happen. I knew Sammy would show her true colours, and to be honest; they weren't pretty. None of ours were.
Within a split second, my head smashed against the wall with Sammy's hand around my throat, cutting of the needed oxygen. "Do you honestly take me as a fool? I'll tell Shane when I'm ready!" Her voice seemed louder than before, and she clearly forgot Shane was behind her. The edges of my vision started to gain stars with blackness. "You were supposed to be my best friend! And look at you. All you ever do is try to hurt me with your glares and scowls! Well ya know what, I've had enough!"
I knew at this point, Sammy had defiantly fed, as she seemed stronger to the point where I knew I was weak, even with my Nephilim side trying to bind with my Vampiric. I was weak, and she was killing me without even knowing it.
"Are you jealous? Is that it? That my Mom is someone who won't beat me everyday! Or is it that I don't need you or want you as my friend anymore?!"
Death, I never thought I'd end up on your doorstep like this. Never thought my bestfriend would kill me, but here I am. "You're...pathetic...Samantha." I chocked out with the last of my oxygen.
Darkness swarmed, making even the stars fade from my decreasing vision. My eyes started to close, and my body start to relax. Atleast I won't have to pretend to hate my bestfriend anymore.
