I shot up on the sofa, inhaling as though I'd just surfaced from almost drowning and saw my mother, blood dripping down her wrist, exhale at the same time. "Mom?"
"Sammy, oh my baby, I'm here" She laughed through her tears, hugging me tight. "I've got you." And I hugged her back, until I fell asleep.

When I woke up again, I had no idea where I was. It wasn't Amelie's house, or the Day house or anywhere I had been before. "Hello? Crap." I cleared my throat and shouted louder. "Mom? Myrnin?" No reply.
I threw the covers off me, though it took 3 tries, guess dying causes your muscles to become weak. I opened the door to my room and saw why no one could hear me, the door was a bulk head, 3 feet of concrete.
"Mom, Myrnin!" And then I walked into Myrnin who appeared in front of me. "Nice one, Ninny."
"Sorry, Samantha. How are you feeling, no side effects?" He asked, taking me down the corridor into a small kitchen where Shane was also sat. "Shane, she's still weak, don't even try to hug her till she's fed."
"I, I wouldn't hurt him!" I cried, but then I could hear his heart pumping blood around his body, thump thump, thump thump, thump thump. "How long was I unconscious because I fed just before I died." I whispered, turning away from my cousin and trying to focus on the feeling of my own heart as mom had taught me.
"One week. You have missed rather a lot, Mantha." Myrnin smiled sadly, putting a mug with tomato juice in the microwave. "Jason will be over later, Amelie is making him go to work still."
"W-where is mom? I, I remember her hugging me as I came back. I need to talk to her."
"Behind you. Oh, Samantha!" Suddenly I had pale, cold arms around me and I was enveloped in the familiar smell of my mothers Eden perfume. "I didn't think you were going to wake up, Theo said you were in a coma."
"I'm alive and kicking. It's not that easy to get rid of me, I can come back from the dead. Love you, mommy." I whispered softly in her ear. Then I pulled away and frowned at her clothes. "Is that my shirt? And my Levis... Mom, you look like a teenager."
Myrnin burst into manic giggles at that, handing me my drink. "Mantha, that is exactly what I said. It suits her though, you and your mother are very similar people really."
"Human everyone forgot agrees. Amelie looks awesome. She is actually really cool when you get to know. Sam, did you know that your mother knows how to play Call of Duty?"
I stared at my mother who looked quite embarrassed. "When were you planning on telling me this? Because I love that game and could have played you."
"I wasn't going to because I knew this would be the reaction." She wiped some blood from the corner of my mouth. "And then you would have told Shane and he would get frustrated by the fact I am better than him."
"From experience, that's it! I beat Myrnin."
Mom sent him one look and he was quiet. "I need you to change quickly, Oliver needs to talk to you, and it's important."
I looked down at my Imagine Dragons shirt and cringed at the giant burnt hole in the chest, that also went through my best bra. "Right. Probably needed anyway. If Naomi survived that, tell her she owes me a new shirt and bra. This ones a Victoria Secret."
Everyone groaned, even mom. "We really didn't need to know that, Samantha. Hurry up."
I dashed back into the room, grabbing a towel and a dress I found in the wardrobe and went on a hunt for the bathroom. Eventually I discovered that it was next to my room, and I felt like a douche.
