Oh wow, this is wEIRD. I haven't edited this story in literal YEARS, but I felt like I needed to come back to say thank you to all of you!
I wrote this story in 2018 when I first finished reading A Map of Days. It wasn't my first fanfic, but it was the first one to get notable attention. I wrote it simply because other authors didn't have what I wanted: a long fic where the reader simply wasn't the main character. She wasn't more special than anyone else (especially not Jacob) and she had her own personal wins and losses. I wanted someone I could relate to, and you guys did too.
I was maybe thirteen or fourteen when I wrote this. I'm sure most of you readers are that same age or younger, and yet you guys keep coming back. And it surprises me that you have! I'll be graduating high school in two months and yet I'm still constantly getting messages from all of you guys about this story. I've seen you all laugh and cringe and cry over the span of four years. It's the reason I still write fanfic, even if it's not for this fandom anymore.
Now, I know this story isn't good. In fact, it's a literal piece of hot garbage, and I used to be so embarrassed that it was mine. But it really isn't "mine" any more, is it? It's your guys' story, too. You all are just as ingrained in this story's narrative as I am. You are more (Y/N) than I will ever be, and I can't help but be in absolute awe of that.
You took time out of your day to read all 136,000 words of this. Hell, some of you maniacs have read it SEVERAL times.
So I want to thank you for changing my life. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better fanbase, and I just want you all to know that I have read every single one of your comments. I love you all so much, from my readers in 2018 to now.
If you ever want to chat with me, I've got a tumblr account specifically made for writing! Check me out at @bazberkkerwrites to ask me questions about myself, my work, or even tell me more about yourselves. I'm dying to know you all!
Once again, I couldn't thank you guys enough for all of this. Keep reading, and keep being weird. I'll see you in the next one.

FanfictionWhat did I think about my life? It's cool, it's great, and I loved living in a tiny house with no air conditioning in London with my very sweet, very sarcastic cousin. Why would you ask? I mean, sure everyone kept saying, "1972 is your year, (Y/N)!"...
